Cook
If you have a passion for food and love preparing exciting cuisine, then becoming a member of our line cook team is a unique, fulfilling and gratifying experience. Our Back of House staff is thoroughly trained in how to prepare CPK's amazing dishes with consistency and accuracy, all in a great work environment.
Server
Servers are the tour guides for the adventure of dining at CPK. Each time a guest visits our restaurants our servers are given the opportunity to take them on a tour of the senses and help them discover all that CPK offers. A passion to please and strong customer service skills are a perfect fit for this position.
Busser
At CPK we know that our bussers act as the backbone of our operation. This position is directly responsible for the flow of our restaurant, seating times of guests and cleanliness. This role is not only challenging and fast paced but rewarding and high energy.
Host/Hostess
Hosts and Hostesses play a vital role in the experience of our guests, providing the first and last impression of the restaurant. In addition, the flow of the restaurant is controlled by guest seating. Be prepared to set the tone for the restaurant and reflect the positive personality of CPK.
Counter/Take out
& Bar
One of the highlights of CPK's layout is our counter and bar that overlook the display kitchen. As guests enjoy their own live kitchen performance our Bar and Counter servers provide them with amazing service, fantastic cocktails and inspiration for their order selection.

We want you to grow with us and continue a successful career. Many of our long-standing, successful team members started in entry level opportunities within operations. Here's how we get our members on the path to success.
Certified Trainer
Certified trainers are responsible for training all new hires at their restaurant and for assisting the managers in maintaining CPK's high standards. You will become involved in management meetings, assist with special projects and be given the chance to participate in new store openings around the country (when available).
Shift Leader
Once you have completed the Certified Trainer program, you will be eligible for promotion to either a Dining Room Shift Leader (DSL) or Kitchen Shift Leader (KSL). At CPK, we believe that training is one of the keys to building a successful career. Our Shift Leader programs are one of the best career development tools for team members interested in furthering their career in the restaurant industry. The programs offer in-depth knowledge through each area of management and have been designed to prepare employees for the next level of responsibility. Training for both programs include interactive workbooks, hands-on learning and curriculum testing.
Management
As California Pizza Kitchen continues to grow we will continue to promote from within. The numbers speak for themselves: approximately 30% of managers will be team member promotions.
