My husband and I order pizza Every Friday to celebrate us getting over the work week. He's a Lance corporal with the marines so his days are almost 12 hours long. He goes in at 6:30am everyday and comes home around 5:30 sometimes later. I'm a nanny, so my days are pretty long too. We love pizza. And any time we can get together, so weekends are sacred to us. We have a weekly pizza date, Sometimes we go to a bar and shoot pool for a few hours and come home and order a late night pizza together. Other times we rent movies cuddle up on the couch and eat with a glass of wine or beer. He's the love of my life and I don't know what I would do without him. My favorite pizza memory is our pizza dates Every Friday, every new date we have is my favorite.

Now we have one that opened nearby where I live now and I can't wait to relive my memories from my youth by going there again soon. A year's supply would be so awesome...Thanks, CPK, for such a great contest and for being the best pizza we could find!

Love pizza, have lots of memories..i just love pizza
My dear brother-in-law, Larry, loved his pizza. When he came out West from Ohio to California to visit us, he arrived hungry! So we suggested CPK. This was in the days before CPK was a coast to coast household name. Larry had never heard of California Pizza Kitchen, but he was ready for anything with "pizza" in the name. Or so he thought... Once we were seated and he looked at the menu, we could see a BIG question mark on his face. We proceeded to tell him that pizza didn't just have to have pepperoni and red sauce! In fact, we told him that our very favorite pizza was the Thai Pizza. Larry ordered his basic Italian combo pizza overflowing with yummy sausage, pepperoni, green peppers and the like. He was ready to dig in. But we offered to let him try ours. He was very hesitant. He took one bite, his face scrunched up and he said, "Ewww, peanut butter pizza, that's just not right!" Well, he had tried it, and we guessed it just wasn't for him. But before we knew it, he had downed his own pizza and there was one piece of our Thai left. Guess who had it? Yep, he admitted that "peanut butter pizza" really was quite delicious! Sadly, we lost this sweet man at a too-young 42 years old. But we always smile and remember Larry whenever we go to CPK and order our very own "Peanut butter pizza."
My husband went to Afghanistan & my three kids were having a hard time with him being gone & I was still active duty Air Force. So, on Fridays we would have we called 4P night; pizza, pop, popcorn & popsicles. It made our crazy weeks easier to have something to look forward to.

After a few challenging months, my twins and I decided to go for dinner at CPK. We ended up sitting all together on the same side of the table with me in the middle. We laughed, and talked about life and enjoyed our delicious dinner. Usually with twin 7 year olds I'm ready to leave asap but I didn't want this evening to end. I will remember it always. Thank you.
Just the go-to food for moving, movie night and easy get-togethers with friends. Best memory: sitting outside with friends for spur of the moment dinners with pizza, salad and drinks, just relaxing and laughing. Good times.
I remember families weekends with my grandparents, our favorite restaurant was California Pizza kitchen (Cpk for short) it never failed that we went every weekend. I would start with the tortilla Sedona soup and end with my favorite the bbq chicken pizza and a bbq chicken salad. It was something we always looked forward to and was shared over a lot of laughs from my Papas jokes, stories about their trips from my Bubby, and love from our family bonding. I miss that.
My husbands favorite food was pizza. To make Friday an even more special night we would have pizza with our favorite Television shows. It didn't matter whether we made the pizza or got a carry out, it made our weekend start with a happy note.

My birthday was on a weekday and I had to get up early in the morning and work all day. When I finally got home in the evening, I was tired but wanted to celebrate a little bit. So, my husband and I went to CPK for an amazing dinner. We sat up at the bar and I got to eat my favorite Margherita pizza and relax. It was actually the first time I ever ate at a CPK with my husband. Since I was a pizza dough rewards member, I received a complimentary birthday dessert. I got to try for the first time the salted caramel pudding. Wow! CPK made my birthday very special and delicious. Now I try to have CPK once a week because I love pizza so much and CPK always satisfies my pizza cravings. It's never the same eating pizza anywhere else. I am a pizza dough rewards member for life.

The first time I was ever to go out with my little brother on our own was when I was 12 and he was 6. We were allowed to go to Larrys pizza for a slice each and then had to go straight home. I felt so mature being able to take care of my little brother all by myself and he was excited to be able to go eat out alone with his big sister. I was also excited because I saved up my allowance and paid for our meal on my own! We had so much fun being able to order whatever we wanted and eat as much as we could!

We were at California Pizza at Christmas time and we had to sit at the counter. There was a man that looked like Santa next to us and I said to my son he looked tired because he was probably out delivering gifts. I told him to sit quietly and not disturb him. When "Santa" got up to use the bathroom (thats what he said to the server), we told the server we would like to pay for his dinner because he was so busy giving presents, we wanted to pay it forward! The server said,"you're too late, he already paid for yours"! When I got over the shock I handed him a tip and he said, "he also left the tip" Merry Christmas!!!!! We ran out to look for him but he literally disappeared!

We love making our own homemade pizza. The recipe is from a book my sister-in-law gave to us many years ago. Every person who has ever had our homemade pizza has raved about it later. One day we decided to try CPK in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Everyone agreed that their pizza was also a favorite. For awhile, we used to go to CPK on our anniversary...it was a tradition for many years! Keep up the delicious cooking!

Enjoying CPK With friends + family
When I was eleven we were visiting my grandmother's and I was given the honour of calling for pizza delivery. It was a big deal. I was from a small town that didn't even have a pizza delivery place. So I give the guy on the phone my order to which he replies, do you want it hot? Do I want it hot? Yeah. Really really hot!! I remember thinking, what kind of idiot doesn't want a hot pizza. Less than an hour later the family opens the boxes and calls me in for questioning. All kinds of peppers on the pizzas. We ate it but everyone was dying from the spicy (and the laughing at me). I'll say this much, to this day I still love spicy pizzas.

My first time at a CPK restaurant was at a mall. We were out shopping and saw the restaurant. You could see the people eating and enjoying their food I didn't know that it didn't have a glass window, the window frames were just open. I made a comment about how good the pizza looked and that I should go ask them for a piece (them was a couple). And the lady said here, have a piece. I almost jumped out of my skin!!! I had no idea they heard me. So of course we went in and sat across from the couple and we had a good time laughing about it. That was about 2 years ago. Now I'm totally in love with CPK.

It was the highlight for me. This was over 60 years ago and I still remember it. This was my first introduction to pizza.
As a pizza maker as a teenager, i used to make a pizza with lots of cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, shredded chicken and spinach. This pizza was not on the menu but I always made up different pizzas.... that one was my favorite. I always had a side of ranch dressing to dip into or drizzle on a piece or two. Yum

Loved your BLT Pizza. Was the best.
I always go to CPK in Solana Beach with my parents and my high school friends. Also would go to La Jolla CPK with my girlfriend and go watch a movie after. I would go once a week at least and wonder if I would ever get recognized. Finally that day came but not where I expected. I started working in Mission Valley and would go to the Fashion Valley CPK with coworkers and the waiter now recognizes me and greets me everytime. It’s a great feeling! And that is why I love CPK, it’s like home to me.
It was 1995 and my daughter Heather was having the best time of her life as a student at Boston University. She loved her school, had a great boyfriend, who eventually became her husband, We lived in New York -land of Pizza - we were truly connoisseurs' and loved our thin crispy pizza. I got a call from my darling daughter, and it is now twenty one years later and I never forgot that conversation and her enthusiasm. She said "Ma, a new restaurant just opened here called The California Pizza Kitchen and you are going to love it. I can not wait for you to come to visit so we can go together, it has the most delicious thin crust pizza ever, and fabulous salads you will enjoy.-- it is just the perfect place for us." She was so right. The next time I visited her we went straight to the restaurant and we shared the Pizza Margarita and a delicious Salad - with an excellent dressing. I was thrilled .My daughter was right - it was delicious. The service was so professionial, yet friendly. The atmosphere was inviting and pleasant. The entire experience was delightful. And there is a more to this story a few weeks before graduation my now son in law Chad took my daughter Heather for dinner to your restaurant and popped the question right there and then over a thin crust Pizza and salad -" Heather, Will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the Universe -and we will eat Pizza together for ever and ever ?" She said "only if it is California Pizza Kitchen then my answer is yes- you have a deal." They are happily married with two precious little girls s and eat in your restaurant in New York.. Still not the end of this happy story. I am retired now, and I live in Santa Barbara , California - five blocks from my favorite California Pizza Kitchen restaurant. I eat there very frequently and can actually walk there. The dedicated mangers know me and take such good care of me .I just enjoyed my Birthday Sundae , along with everything else. I appreciate the seasonal specials. I admire this establishment for keeping up wish their customers needs and desires all these years- they are amazing or to quote the Californians they are awesome. Kudos to all of you, and thank you for being here for three generations of my family - My daughter who discovered you way back then in Boston for -me here in California -and my young granddaughters in New York enjoying their mothers discovery. I just love this story and your Pizza.I enjoy the seasonal specials and the rewards and everything. Twenty years later I am still in love with my Pizza and salads and all the entrees and small plates. Kudos to you - This establishment gives their customers top priority in every single way. I even had my Birthday Sundae a few months ago, and I shared this story with the waitress. I hope you like my story enough to gift me with free Pizzas for the year so I can share them with friends who have never had the good fortune to have had one of your delicious Pizzas. .

Deep dish with my wife in Chicago!
My husband and I were dinning at CPK eating my favorite pizza (pepperoni and pineapple w/ side of Ranch) and a cup of delicious tortilla soup. Yum I’m hungry now! Anyhow, I was almost 9 months pregnant and having light contractions. My family didn’t think it was a good idea for me to go out to dinner, but I couldn’t resist. Not really a smart or safe thing to do to tell a pregnant women she can’t eat what’s she’s craving. So we sit down and no more than 2 mins into our soup and salad my water breaks, but i wouldn’t leave until I got my pizza and soup and salad boxed up. Barely made it to the hospital before delivering our precious baby girl. Husband didn’t even have time to sign in. Straight to the delivery room we went. So I always tell our 2? Year old baby girl shes a CPK Girl.
Eating pizza with friends

Mine is when you used to make the Rosemary chicken potato pizza in the early 2000's. I go there with my friends to eat after work & that was my favorite pizza to get. I'm sad it isn't made anymore, but live the memories of girlfriends venting & catching up on our day over some great pizza!

Both my kids were hired for their first jobs at the same pizza place and same time. On their first day, we realized we'd never tried their pizza! What if it was bad? I mean, they couldn't work at a place that serves bad pizza! So they brought a pie home. We sat down, stared at it, then began to dig in. Hallelu jah! GREAT pizza and their job's were safe. A true test of solidarity for our family!
After a long walk and fun at the park, my ex, kids and I got a late takeout dinner--CPK pizza and salad. We went back to my house, sat around the table and enjoyed our dinner together. We may not live together anymore but CPK pizza always makes us feel like a family again.
I remember my parents would take us to the Drive In when we were younger and we always stopped for pizza on our way there. Some of my best memories with them and it was delicious.
I went to a sleepaway camp for 7 weeks and the food there was just terrible. So one night we decided we were gonna sneak and use the office phone and order a pizza. We got the number and ordered 5 different pizzas and got our money together. We snuck to the front of the camp making sure no one would see us and escaped with our pizzas. We never got caught and we all sat in the middle of our bunk with some good conversation and our contraband pizza.
The little storefront in my neighborhood & the old Italian Grandpa who made the most delicious square pizzas! It's sad no one carried on his tradition.
I actually first met my husband at a pizza parlor. It was so crowded that night he and his friend had to share a table with me and my friend. I didn't see him again until a few weeks later, someplace else. This time he asked for my number and we started dating. Must have been fate!

I was in my 9th month (38 weeks) and had just returned from my weekly doctor wellness visit. Baby wasnt due for another 2 weeks. Since I didnt want to go home and cook, my husband and I went to CPK in Schaumburg. I remember what I was having - Tostada pizza and Cranberry Cooler and I went into labor!!! My healthy baby boy was in my arms 7 hours later. The pizza brought my baby into this world before time! Yayy!
In the early 80s, our junior high had casual dances a few times a year. After each one, a huge group of us would walk over to the pizza place down the road. I have a lot of fond memories of those days.

My favorite pizza memories are all from when I was a kid, and after a weekend of soccer games - we all would meet up at the neighborhood pizza parlor.
We eat pizza every Friday. We still do!
April 2015 - The first time our family ate at a CPK and was able to enjoy a delicious gluten free pizza. You made our day - from attentive staff to a pizza that was able to be enjoyed by everyone in the family including a child with celiac and a child with gluten intolerance. Imagine waiting 17 years to see your children enjoy eating pizza out, something most people take for granted. Thank you for your commitment to offering delicious gluten free pizzas!
When I won a all you can eat pizza slice eating contest, by eating 10 slices after a soccer game.
Every pizza memory is my favorite. Pizza is a beautiful food, I've eaten it at parties, games, restaurants, and at home. Pizza is the perfect food for the happy times and the sad. It keeps your spirits high and it can lift you up. Overall though my grandfather and I always go to the same place and we spilt a pizza and each get a root beer. Those are some of the best pizza memories I have.
Twas a Friday fall evening and energy was static I believe it was around 6:30-7:00 I was at the Bellevue CPK when they first opened up and I was on a date. I must have been 18. We shared a pep mush saus pizza and out chalua on it :). We walked next door to the movie pavilion and saw final destination. It was a great great time. The funny thing is, we really enjoyed the bread and butter hahaha. I salted and peppered mine and I believe she put parm on hers lmao. Great great time. Thanks for being a part of my memory CPK! With Love
my boyfriend of 3 years proposed to me with pepperoni letters on a pizza. I met him when he delivered pizza to my door in the middle of a tornado warning and I had him stay until the sirens stopped going off.
When I was growing up we would order pizza every Sunday night and watch Wonderful World of Disney together. We didn't have a lot of family dinners because my dad worked all the time so this really stands out to me and is meaningful.

The best memories as a child were deciding to go to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. This meant eating the best cheese pizza with the softest crust and finishing off dinner with the rich gooey chocolate fudge sundae topped with oreos. Can you tell this was my favorite restaurant as a child?
The best pizza memory is when I came home from college for the first time, and I was craving CPK. We drove to CPK right before it was closing so that I could finally have the tostada pizza I had been craving for months.
My favorite pizza memory is when my family and I wanted to try the different pizza combinations and so we ordered three different CPK pizzas and kept trying different slices until we finished all three.

The time me and my best friend went to have pizza before the movies and it took so long to come that we ended up having to take it to go. We snuck an entire deep dish pizza in a full sized box by hiding it vertically under her coat. When we opened it inside, we realized that the sauce had spilled on her coat and the deep dish pizza was smashed to the side but we ate it anyways. First time I had tried deep dish and not the last.
Ball game pizza
Pizza at a ball game
My son and I used to always have "date night" on Fridays after a long week of work and school. Our favorite date was usually the local family-owned pizza place. We were regulars there, they always knew where to seat us and what we wanted to order. Now that my son is older, I miss those pizza dates!
I love pizza, I always eat CPK pizzas as soon as I am done working out!
Remember my first pajama party fun times good friends and lots of pizza.
Eating at cpk and stood up and waiting knocked over tray.. luckily it wasn't too bad and we all ( the kids especially) thought it was funny
When we were in Italy on vacation, our teenage son ordered a pizza topped with miny hamburger patties, french fries (yes actual fries!), and ketchup. I’m sure the locals were thinking whacky Americans.
My twin daughter wouldn't eat real food until she was 4 1/2 years old. I was still giving her baby food in the jar and applesauce. We went out and ate pizza and brought leftovers back to the camper. She smelled the pizza box in the camper. I offered her a piece and she put a small piece on her upper lip. She nibbled and then exclaimed yum! Stephanie has a great appetite today.
First time eating at CPK in San Bernardino we heard a voice saying “Uncle John”? One of the servers was Joslyn Alvarado and John had not seen her in a few years. It was the best surprise over COK pizza ever. Reconnecting was such a good thing and we stay in touch still.
Eating pizza with my family in Downtown Chicago when I was little. Looked forward to that special occasion every year.

I'm a new teacher at a high school and walked by two of my freshman students sitting on the floor and eating pizza in the hallway last week. When I asked where they got it, they slid a sweatshirt aside to reveal the box that had just been delivered to school. Not only did they reveal their secret with me, but they then offered a slice to me their "favorite teacher" this year! Filled my heart and my stomach!
I love going to CPK with my mom! We always celebrate small milestones here whether it be a random mother daughter day, promotion at work, or going for a special menu item we are craving!!! CPK has wonderful appetizers and small plates that we love! CPK has one of a kind pizzas!

June 10, 2005 my family ate lunch at CPK as it had become our Friday family event for a few years. Friday was CPK day. We knew everyone on staff and our beverages would arrive at table when we were seated. We notified everyone that our sons were attending art school for six weeks so we would not be in. It was our last Family Friday event as my husband suddenly passed a few days later. My sons are now young men and CPK is always considered our "family" place
I had my Very First mouth-watering Pizza in Colorado Springs, Co, back in the 50's! I shall never forget the experience, or the taste! It was enhanced by being surrounded with a baseball team, in a Friend's Pizza place. Included in those players was Billy Martin, who was stationed at Fort Carson. He could eat garlic by the clove and DID! I was so glad I had a convertible and could put the top down! I practically lived at "Pedonne's" from that night on!!! Great Times and Memories!!
1990 Lenox Square Mall, Atlanta, GA: My first ever visit to CPK....I had the Thai Chicken Pizza and I was hooked for life1 What an awesome find.
Remember that time I dressed up like Pizza and delivered pizza from CPK to celebrate my moms birthday !
Was looking forward to a nice slice of pizza. I brought it outside and put it on the picnic table and went inside to grab my soda. I was back out in 30 seconds and it was gone. Looked around and there was a squirrel with my pizza in it's mouth.
My favorite memory of eating pizza was a time when I was at my very low. I had just gotten divorced and left with two little kids. I had no idea what to do. Had no career, no money and desperate for love. That is when my best friends came over with my fav bbq chicken pizza. We puffed out all night and something one of them said to me stuck with me forever. She said “do not ever let a man determine your worth, if you don’t like the way your life is...change it” it was a little harsh at the moment but it changed my life. A few weeks later I got up, starting eating better, lost a to of weight, applied for nursing school and got my life back on track. If it wasn’t for that delicious pizza and my amazing friends, I am not sure where I would be today. Today I am a strong independent single mom, who saves lives and knows her worth.
Great Tasting pizza
Had relatives visit us from Europe and we took them to one of our favorite pizza places (CPK). We all laughed, ate & drank. Service was great and the ambiance was superb. Thank you CPK!
One year on Christmas Eve we had to make four generations of family happy! After some thought we decided to make pizza. The youngest generation that seldom liked anything joined me me in the kitchen to construct individual pizza with their favorite toppings and the rest of the family kept the adult pizza chefs busy. Everyone lived the informality an consumed lots of pizza with a heavy dose of laughter. It became a family tradition and when we were not all together my siblings order pizza for Christmas Eve!
garlic chicken pizza
Love the cheese pizza and salads
In freshman year of school, my best friend and I were up reaally late studying. We suddenly became VERY hungry and needed to get some food. We searched the entire campus and finally found one of our friends who was awake and willing to drive. Lo and behold, NOTHING was open! We were about to give up and on the verge of tears (because that's what being "hangry" makes you do) when our friend slams on the brakes, points, and says "OMG IT'S PIZZA!!" in the loudest voice you can possibly imagine. We all hauled into the small shop and ordered the first thing we saw on the menu, the "Hello Hawaii" special. Whoever said pineapple does not belong on pizza was wrong. To this day it's the best Hawaiian pizza I've ever had and I'll never forget it!
When my mom came from England to visit me and I took her to CPK to have the pizza she really enjoys it.

Getting pizza after a hard fought basketball game. Playing my heart out and leaving it all on the court just to be filled back up after the game by a hot cheesy pizza. And now being the cool mom to bring pizza after the games of my kids and knowing they're comforted after a win, lose , or draw by the same great taste of a slice of pizza.
I was pregnant with my son and when I ordered my pizza he moved like he knew what I was ordering then when I was about to eat he moved again that’s when I new He was gona be a pizza eater as well. Now he wants pizza all the time.
I remember experiencing New York foldable slices for the first time at a Comic Con some years back. It was so much fun sharing a ton of slices with my friend, who showed me around Times Square and all the way to Harlem. I never had so much fun and it was thanks to the pizza for powering us through!
My grand mother was diagnosed with Surge Weber Syndrome 7 years ago. That is a seizure disorder that comes with many good and bad days. On one of her better days, we took some time to ourselves to get our hair and nails done away from the house. We ended up going out for lunch afterwards and she chose pizza. We went out to her fave pizza shop and enoued the moment. This is a time a will always cherish with her, and will never forget! Thank you for the opportunity :)

I made a pizza dough and it was looking great while it rose. Spread it out on the stone, put on the toppings and baked it and it was fabulous! So Surprised. Have tried since and failed every time I've made the dough.
I love cpk
Girls night out at CPK at Waterside Shops in Naples Florida holds a special place in my heart. Catching up with your oldest, best or most loved friends, sharing some amazing, cheesy, tasty pizza and sipping on your fabulous iced teas and cocktails. Reminiscing of good times and old times, laughing our butts off at whatever we can, and just enjoying each other and the love we share for each other. My pizza memories are some of my favorite joy filled memories.

Comfort food on a bad day!
It was last year, and I have never met my sister before as we were separated at birth. We both live in North Carolina which I was not aware of at the time. I came to California Pizza Kitchen and in front of me was someone that I didn’t know so I didn’t think anything about it. When someone came up to her and asked her what her name was, she had the same last name as me and I introduced myself. We talked over great pizza and now she is one of the closest people to me! Now we meet every month over pizza and talk about our lives.
It was our first date, we were nervous, the pizza arrived to the table with a jar of soda, he was exited telling me the best story of motorcycles and aliens when in a big move of his arm he slapped the soda jar that spilled over the pizza. He was so embarrassed that he stoped talking and froze while his face turned red. I took a soaked piece of pizza and said: mmmhhh haven't you tried pizza in soda? !its the best kind!. And I ate it. Years had gone by and he says that from that moment he knew he was going to marry me. We have 2 cats, we are married and we love pizza.
I ate so much pizza, I threw up.
Friday night, the whole family is tired and don't want to go out to eat. Decided to order 🍕, we all sat on the couch, watch a comedy movie while enjoying some delicious pizza in the comfort of our home, ended up a relaxing night and a full tummy.

At age about 10 my friend and I were riding our bikes around a shopping center that had a pizza parlor in it. We rode by the pizza place and stopped by the big window to watch the pizza making. The cook all of a sudden pointed to one of the pizzas and finally we figured out he was gesturing to ask if we wanted that pizza. Ended up it wasn't picked up and he gave us that pizza free. Best tasting pizza I ever had....
Love that meaty pizza, sausage, meatball, pepperoni, what a meal.
Pizza for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning
My best pizza memory is an evening with friends, eating pizza and enjoying our time together.
My favorite pizza memory is when my family would get pizza anytime it was one of our birthdays. We all loved it so it was almost always the choice. I love sitting around a table eating pizza with my family and celebrating one of us. Plus at CPK nothing goes better with pizza than butter cake.
My first time at CPK, I loved the pizza. It's simple yet, very tasty. I wanted to try everything on the menu. Have yet to go back and try something different.

Best pizza memories are of my dad and pizza. Every Sunday my dad would take us out to the local pizzeria for a huge "party-sized" pizza. The slices were at least 18 inches long and sooooo delicious! He would always order us a Combination and a Family Salad. I grew up on pizza, good pizza and CPK has some of the best pizza I've ever had. Love it!

My sons loved pizza growing up. Whether it was homemade or from one of our favorite restaurants. When my son returned from Germany where he was stationed for two years, I got the entire family together at our favorite pizzeria and it was like we turned back time. It's amazing how certain smells have the power to bring back strong memories. Pizza is one of those foods that does that :)
My favorite pizza memory was on October 25, 2008 when my (now) husband and I had our first date at CPK! I got my favorite Tostado pizza and he got the Barbeque Chicken pizza. We had such a wonderful time together. Fast forward almost 9 years, a wedding, and a baby and we still go back to CPK on our dating anniversary to relive our first date every year. It is such a special place for us to visit and we always have a fantastic time!
i am vegetarian and i always order the vegi pizza. i love it.
When the extended family tries to decide where to eat. The consensus from the grandparents to the toddlers is invariably pizza. CPK has hosted and satisfied our family multiple times.
My granddaughter had her 4th birthday party with her pre-school friends at CPK. I thought what in the world would that party be like? It was great from them making their own pizzas (my grand had to have one of CPK gluten free ones) to the tour of the kitchen and refrigerators, and then getting ice cream, it was great!
Took my wife for Veggie pizza and ordered the Tostada thin crust pizza. She was blown over by the taste and the uniqueness of pizza ingredients. We are going to visit CPK very often now :)

My kids have just graduated college and are on their way to building their own lives, but one of the happiest time in our lives were the years 5-18, when they played multiple sports that provided many many team pizza parties and fundraisers. We loved those years, made friends and visited so many types of pizza restaurants.
Pizza! Pretty much the perfect food. If I'm stranded on an island and I can only have one food item, does the island get delivery?
Pizza with anchovies is my favorite memory. My family has always eaten anchovies, but a friend of mine came for dinner and freaked that there were anchovies on the pizza.
We all gathered together around the table and eat pizza
Having the tostada pizza with my wife after dancing!
Too many good things to eat on the menu so I shared my pizza with my family and they shared their pasta and salad with me. It was like eating at a buffet with warm toppings and sprinkles of love at CPK.
Best pizza ever for my 50th birthday party CPK at Perkins Rowe! 💖😍👍🏻🍕🍕🍕
I don't have a specific pizza memory. I just know pizza brings me joy & happiness when I need it!!! So this would be the best thing ever to win free pizza for an entire year. CPK would have my business for life if I won this!
Luckily a walk across the street from my job is a California Pizza Kitchen. Whenever Diana or I are having a rough day we look at each other and say “Pizza?!” Our escape from the rough retail life is the spinach artichoke pizza with a buffalo cauliflower appetizer! We’ve made friends with the wait staff and we always feel welcome. Thank you for being the escape CPK!

In college i survived on bagel pizzas because i was poor. my roommates and i would be creative and add all sorts of extras on top (from hot dogs to goldfish....sky was the limit). and now my kids make their own bagel pizzas and add their favorite toppings. Pizza has always been a favorite, in good and bad times, it fills you up and makes you feel good. It has to be the best food ever invented.
Eating CPK after Disneyland with the kids.
My pizza moment was my kids rejected the pizza I bought home and complained because I didn't get California BBQ Chicken pizza . They refused to eat the other pizza brand I bought . So for the last 12 years California pizza is all we buy.
The first time our sons had pizza. They instantly fell in love with it. Ever since then they're pizza boys! We love CPK's pizza, sandwiches, and soups!

Enjoying Great Pizza with Great Friends and Family! :) I have so many fond memories here.
Learning that as an adult I can pick my own topics and no longer get defaulted to mom and dads' favorite.
eating pizza and having an old best friend tell me he was now gay
Pizza has always been a party of our family for years, but my memory that came to me right away, has more to do with CPK pizza. We had a delay in our flight due to weather, nothing uncommon. However, this delay had us on the runway for 8 hours. They would not allow us off the plane because they were afraid that the storm would pass and then we wouldn't be ready to take off. You can see that being on the plane for so long, we didn't have lunch or dinner. by the time we flew from Philadelphia to Salt Lake, My husband and I along with our two kids were starving. Since we landed in the wee hours of the more there was nothing open in the airport. As we walked to the terminals that our next flight we looked at everything along the way and when we saw CPK we knew where we were eating. Of course, we had to wait until lunch for them to open, but that was okay with us, because we knew where the best pizza was waiting and we would wait. If you have ever since the Kohl's commercial "OPEN, OPEN,OPEN"" that would be us. The smell of the bread and the taste of the melting cheese was exactly the meal that turned the who delay around. It will always and be a memory that will stay with me. We love CPK before the delay and after.
2 children, 2 adults, each with their own loaded full size pizzas on the table!!
Love the first time I had California Pizza Kitchen. We had BBQ Chicken pizza and it was the best combination of a pizza ever.
My family and I come to CPK every single year for our birthdays!!!! It’s a family tradition & I love it so much, the photo attached was at my birthday dinner almost 8 years ago at CPK
CPK is my 4-year-old's favorite place to eat. He can scarf a kid's cheese pizza like no one's business. He also loves the "purple chips."
My daughter and I eat at CPK twice a month, sit at the same booth and are helped by Selene at the Tustin location. I love this time with my daughter. We laugh, we share and we nourish our bodies we darn great pizza. Thank you for helping me create a tradition with my daughter which I hope to last a lifetime.
Having pizza 3 times a week with my mom when I was a kid. It was cheap n easy.
Going to com eith my daughter and her ordering the chicken bbq pizza EVERY TIME and coloring
when I took friends out for pizza.
When my new teen friend was learning to eat pizza with fork and knife and accidentally her pizza flew into my plate and we were 4 of us , it was very funny since then we enjoy eating our pizza with hand no fork and knife allowed for our pizza night
Being assigned to Germany with the Air Force and finding great meals the whole family loves. From shops in Germany to Italy to France, trying every style. The favorite is a Italian Restaurant down from the Eifel Tower in Paris France, near the subway. We stop there every time we go to Paris. The food is spectacular, just like at CPK.
My son since he was little, always got excited to go to CPK for the BBQ chicken pizza. He's now 18 and still loves to go.
Pizza has always been my family's favorite food. We have pizza at least once a week, and California Pizza Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants. We go to CPK every year for each of our birthdays because the food is just so delicious! My favorite pizza memories are when after a long day of shopping at Sawgrass Mills Mall, we end the day with delicious melty pizza from CPK. The feelings of happiness and the comforting taste of cheese and tomato sauce on those evenings will always hold a special place in my heart <3.
Loving it when we show up to CPK at Northbrook Court and our waiter welcomes us and instantly tells us what we are about to order. He does this by memory, as we always order the same items, (with certain changes).
I love to go there on my month anniversary with my boyfriend as in there is what everything kept going. We go there because we love the pizza and is a reminder of how far we have gone
After the hurricane, with no lights or power at home, seeing that CPK was open was great news. The pizza from the lunch menu was delicious and perfcetly paired with a red sangria. Neeedless to say we were celebrating our 9th year anniversary. Beat Pizza memory ever!
My first job was a waitress at The Stratham House of Pizza. I dropped a large pizza off it's pan right on to the floor in front of my customers. OUCH!
Four stay-at-home moms in desperate need of a break enjoyed fab pizza and wine 😀 at CPK in Southpark mall (NC) last month. So delish and so much fun that we recharged for a month!!

Hot Summer afternoon in the patio with friends, family and my dog
I've always loved pizza and my best memory is eating it in Rome.
My favorite pizza is the Hawaiian BBQ chicken, and the one with pears، ...
Pizza has always been my favorite food all year around. Wheather it's memory from eating pizza from childhood at school and friends or watching a movie as a teenager to late night pizza night with friends . Pizza is something I could eat anyday at anytime ! Wheather it's hot or cold ! Small or large ! Cheesy or pepperoni to mac and cheese pizza ! My favorite food is pizza to enjoy by myself with family or friends .
first time I had something really different on my pizza other than sauce cheese and pepperoni...duck confit - it was very different and tasty! don't have an actual picture, but I have one of my dog, Zeus attacking a toy duck...LOL
I think the best memory is picking up a Hawaiian pizza for my bf from cps and surprising him with it! He was so excited as we both love cps and all their menu items. The smile on his face, radiant, loving, and just down to eat the pizza made it all worth it!
THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE PIZZA!!!
WHEN I ATE A WHOLE PIZZA BY MYSELF
When I was 6 years old, I was a picky eater. The only foods I would eat were bologna sandwiches and hamburgers. I told my Aunt Frances that I would never be able to date, because people on dates have pizza. She made a pizza which I tried (which was amazing, because I never tried anything new) & have loved it ever since that time! On my 1st date at age 15, we went out for pizza!
My dad loved pizza so Father's Day always meant a trip to a local pizza joint. Although he's no longer with us we still celebrate his memory with pizza on Father's Day.
So, first of all, I love seafood. But after meeting my soulmate, now husband, Joseph, I can no longer have it. He is deathly allergic to it. I mean deathly. If I eat and and kiss or touch him, he can go into anaphylactic shock and die. It's that bad. We carry epi-pens every where we go, etc etc. So I've given up seafood for the last 12 years. Plus going out to diner proves to be challenging as well. A LOT of places have shellfish. What one does for love. But I went down to visit my sister in Florida, the only one time we have ever been apart for more than one day. He bought me this trip for my birthday...I was feeling down....not myself...he wanted to cheer me up... He wanted me to EAT SHELLFISH. My sister made this most amazing pizza..... It was homemade..... I think on just a flatbread or tortilla.....with a little butter, then fresh lobster she, my brother in law and nephew caught from the ocean themselves, she added some chopped tomatoes and baked it in the oven for I think for maybe 5 min. It was divine. The best lobster pizza ever. So simple, yet so perfect. It was made with love coming from my husband 1300 miles away....
Eating with my 9 yr old daughter (I can only see her twice a year and we always picked California pizza kitchen)
Kids with grandpa-88 years young waiting for pizza! Mangia!
Since I've gotten older, my family and I have Pizza on my birthday. My Birthday is New Year's Day. I used to have off from work the day after New Years so even though I did all holiday dinners, I would do New year's day my Birthday. Being Italian I would make a big pot of gravy with sausage, pork and meatball, and a big pan of lasagna..There came a point I no longer had the day after off and I was older and it was MY birthday so I didn't want to cook and neither did any one else. We all went out to a local place for pizza because I love Pizza, and didn't think it would cost too much. The place had a bar and we were about 15 people so it wound up costing more that I expected.
The first time I tried a CPK wheat whole grain crust pizza!
As a little kid I loved to eat pizza and when I moved to Denver close to Park Meadows I tried CPK and yum since then I go back to remember the days as a kid when I first tried pizza. .
Being in the Middle East and eating tuna fish on a Pizza. Very unusual, very memorable.
cheese all over my hands and face
My favorite pizza moment was when I took my 3 year old niece to CPK and she took her plate of pizza and sniffed it. Her face was priceless, it was if that plate of pizza was magic.
Eating Pizza with my mom at california pizza kitchen for her birthday, I think she had the jambalaya one, what a birthday
Get together with kids once a week to eat CPK pizza The most happiest time in my life
Our grandson who is 6 years old never says lets go get pizza, but that is all he eats. He says lets go to CPK and we all know what that means. It is the only pizza that the whole family loves.
I grew up in South Florida... not exactly a place known for its pizza. When I was very young, my parents split up and my mother raised me and my older brother in her parents' house. My brother and I always knew that our mom and her parents always went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed, many times sacrificing their needs to accommodate our wants. So we tried not to be ungrateful brats. We didn't have a lot of things that we splurged on, but there was a local pizza restaurant (not a chain) that our mother got us hooked on and it became a regular treat meal for us up until I went away to college. This was back when pizza was a bit more of a luxury food purchase, but it was so good and every bite was heavenly. My mom would always order a thin crust pizza with tons of meats on it and occasionally some banana peppers. Sometimes, we would go to the restaurant and wait an hour for the pizza (there was no delivery at the time), and we would be happy to do so. The place is still around, but I haven't been home in a long time. My mom is no longer around, but every time I eat pizza, I think of her and that restaurant back home.
1st time tasting CPK when i was stationed at Marine Barracks Washington dc 24 yrs ago.And coming back home from Afghanistan back in 2011.i could not wait to taste the Jamaican jerk chicken pizza
My favorite pizza memory was when some Italian friends invited us over to their house to make pizza. They had fresh dough, they taught us how to toss it and roll it, fresh sauce, fresh Mozzarella and fresh basil and tomatoes It was a Margherita pizza.. It was, quite simply the best pizza I have ever had and also the freshest!
An unnamed pizza establishment got my order incorrect, so they re-made my pizza and let me keep both pizzas at no additional charge. I was headed to my mom's house and saw a homeless man on the corner, so I gave him one of my pizzas. I'll never forget the happy look of gratitude on his face. It was a small gesture but he really made me feel good about it.
Pizza is a collaborative experience. Sitting at a table with friends, picking the toppings, the crust or sharing our own with others, always breeds conversation, laughter and life.
Wonderful memories of "Mr. D's Pizza" on Long Island. My family loved itl It dripped with oil!!
Way back in 1958 my then boyfriend and I were poor college students studying in Germany and traveling in Italy on a break between quarters. We saw a pizzeria and thought that nothing could be more romantic than sharing a pizza in the country where pizza was born. It was the worst pizza we had ever eaten, but we couldn't afford not to eat it. To this day, my now husband of 57 years and I laugh over "our romantic Italian Pizza" when we share a current version of the pie.
My brother loved pizza so we hid his pizza under his bed cover, when he went to bed he slept on it and he said I wondered why I dreamed of pizza all night long!
First time I went to CPK it was with all of our family. We loved every bit of food and service. Thanks CPK Fam!!
Sharing a pie and a bottle of wine with my girlfriends from high school.
When we arrived at CPK, our favorite waiter would have already had our boys’ pizzas started. They liked t with just cheese - no sauce!
.. sharing a wild mushroom on wheat crust with my English Dad in late November, laughing with him as he said for about the millionth time "Wild? It must have been furious". Last meal I shared with him before he went back home and passed away on Xmas Eve...
When I was a kid, our favorite snack was Thomas's English Muffins with tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese. Mini Pizzas Mom made when it was snowing and we were stuck inside.
Father’s Day with my son and his wife
My pizza memory goes back to the first time I ever tasted a slice of pizza. I came to the United states for the first time when i was 7. Our father took us around NYC for sightseeing. For lunch he decided to give us a taste of what US is really like and bought us pizza for lunch. I didn't want to even try it but my father forced to. Giving it, I had my first bite, I absolutely hated it. But some time later, he thought to try again and bought pizza for me at which time, I absolutely loved it and till now, if I had to choose, I would rather have a slice of pizza. My famly
The first time we saw a CPK my kids were so excited. We had the frozen pizzas for a long time so we knew the fresh ones would be amazing! We have made it a habit to come every time we are near Salt Lake.
In college a group of friends ordered pizza w/ mushrooms and I had never tried that and thought I didn't like mushrooms. Being a poor, starving student, I really had no choice, so I tried a slice -- mushrooms are now one of my favorite pizza toppings!
Extra Artichoke, yum

Lots of mushrooms thin crust spread, mushrooms all over. The best ever at CPK!
My warmest pizza memory was, when our youngest daughter , while at California pizza, eating our delicious meal told us she was having another child!! Only it isn't going to be a girl as we suspected) another boy!!! Which will make that 6 grandsons!!! We love them all 💕💕
Our Maltese puppy used to LOVE to sit on our laps when we would have pizza for dinner. He loved the wonderful aroma & taste of the melted cheese. Great memories of him & my children when they were much younger. 🍕
My husband loves the Mupsah CPK pizza! He loves it when I surprise him wi/the CPK box w/his fave pizza in the world! The smile on his face & the fullness of his stomach after he eats the delicious pizza is very heart warming!
Spicy Chipotale Chicken Pizza. The best pizza i have ever had
I was home sick and my husband brought home a pizza and warmed it up and I was so excited that I ate it so fast while I was laying down that the cheese slipped off the the pizza and burned my lip and below my lip and caused a huge blister. It was my "CPK pizza blister" that I proudly wore for the next week!
It's an annual tradition for us to got to CPK at the start of school. We used to do the barbecue chicken pizza, but since the kids went vegetarian, the barbecue avocado pizza (replace chicken with avocado) has been a big favorite. And the night always ends with a slice (or two) of red velvet cake-- heated so it's melting down-- AMAZING!!
Boyfriend stacking half a pizza pie and attempting to eat it all at once!
Pizza +LaCrema with good friends at CPK.
Slumber party pizza parties
Great crust, great sauce, great cheese! All on a terrific Pizza
My husband lost a bet and committed to invite me (the winner) to a pizza lunch. When he asked me where I wanted to collect my pizza, I told him "Naples, Italy" . . . where I've heard they make the best pizza in the world. Indeed, he made good on the bet and we enjoyed a wonderful visit to Naples and several amazing pizzas!
Safety Patrol Pizza Party
My dad loves pizza and shared that love of pizza with me and my sisters. We all still make homemade pizza and roll out our own dough with homemade sauce and toppings most Sunday nights together. And, not surprisingly, my parents favorite restaurant is CPK. And now it's our family of 5s too!
My pizza memories revolve around when my children were young and we would pick up pizza and bring it to their grandparents house on a Sunday night. It became a tradition and remains a great memory.
I had my birthday party at CPK
Loading up a pizza with so much sauce and delicious toppings, only to have the bottom fall out and the whole thing becoming a pizza salad. It was still delicious but the presentation would NOT have won a prize!
California Pizza is the best-has the best flavor and enjoy eating it with friends and family. We always have a good time when we dine at California Pizza.
My last visit to California Pizza Kitchen with my family in downtown los angeles. There were 20 of us for a graduation party. I ate a bite of everyones pizza. I ordered a salad. By the time I had my plate of pizza, it was almost a full pizza. I was so happy. I hadn't had that much funs since June 2016.
My fave pizza memory is of going to CPK with my daughter every month for our date day. She always get Hawaiian pizza, or as she calls it Pineapple Pizza. We have been going since she was 4. She is now 7 and it is my favorite day of the month. We talk, laugh and share yummy food.

We love pizza so much, that once on vacation we had pizza 9 days out of 10. We love all kinds of pizza. It makes such a great meal, for lunch, dinner, snack, leftovers and even for breakfast.
I get a phone call..."Momo" can we go to CPK tonight or on the weekend? I love it when my 6 grandchildren, ages 3-8 want to go to a place where the servers care and have gotten to know us.I love spending time with them ( can't take them all at one time. usually 3-4) and watching the look on their faces when they get their food. Life at that moment couldn't be any better
You don't need to go to Nizza to find a good pizza....
Really good pizza.
Five Cheese Pizza
Celebrating my 33rd birthday with my husband and daughter and baby #2 on its way at CPK!
Remember John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever bopping down 86th Street in Brooklyn stopping at Lenny's Pizza for a slice? That was me, every day on my way home from high school. Got off the Subway in front of Lenny's and grabbed a slice for the walk home !
It happens at your place every year - my friend, my sister and I go *the day after Christmas shopping* every year. It’s a stree free day to just simply enjoy and indulge ourselves. We stop in to California pizza Kitchen for lunch for pizza and a few beverages. Exhausted from shopping, we end up sitting there, laughing hysterically every single year!
Celebrating my daughters graduation.
Cheese is my absolute favorite but my teenage son can bribed into anything for BBQ chicken pizza
Driving across town for soccer games is a given. Getting to stop for pizza at CPK after my son broke his nose during a game was a bonus. Although he was not feeling that great about the break, getting to stop for pizza made the whole event less painful. Stopping at CPK for pizza for pizza was the high point of his day.
I baked pizza without cheese.
The mushroom pizza is like one of my best memories...the taste, the texture remains in my brain...my all time favorite... Like Christmas every time I eat it.
Working at a local pizza shop when I was a teenager! Loved eating the free pizza and working with my friends!

Eating pizza with family
Living off of Carne Asada and Tostada Pizzas in college.
all the pizzas are good because they use different ingredients usually not associated with pizza and the ones I love have no regular pizza sauce
We had been up in the mountains of Colorado for a week in the wilderness. We were headed home to Texas. We were so hungry. My husband's phone went blank so we stopped in the first major city we came to get it fixed. While doing that I spotted a CPK in the strip mall. Oh, My goodness, we were so excited. We hadn't had pizza in over a week and certainly not great pizza before that. You would have thought we had won the lottery. We went and enjoyed pizza and the wonderful key lime pie. We decided we could make a bunch of miles on home after that. Thankful!
Every time I have a slice of Buffalo pizza it makes me happy.
My husband and I love pizza so we've been trying out every restaurant in our area that sells pizza. We have a spreadsheet where we rate the pizza and the restaurant on various attributes. So far California Pizza is at the top!
Pizza every Sunday night, always!!! Makes family memories!
Hawaiian pizza reminds me of my trip to Hawaii.
Pizza Margerita was enjoyable when i was eating with my nieces: Jess & Jas
Eating pizza with a table of family and friends is the best time to make and recall memories. I remember fondly many times when pizza was the connection for great family talks and friends getting together. Thanks!
My kids love this place when first came to our hometown of St. Louis, was standard cheese. The other day we took our daughter who is now 25 to our current location in Birmingham and sharing a Tostada pizza brought back memories!!! Love this!!
Love the Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen
Sitting in your Alpharetta, GA location eating a reuben pizza. Your corned beef was exceptional (considering you're from California and not New York)! :)
My 8-year-old son and I each ordered a pizza and when they came out, the waiter assumed the one "with everything" was mine and tried to set it down...we both laughed when my son claimed it! The waiter was surprised and impressed at my son's palette, since most kids order "plain cheese"...but that's the one that was mine.
Taking my son to CPK to enjoy my favorite pizza growing up. Not to forget the kids ice cream sunday!!!
good pizza with all my friends .
My son has Eosinophilic Esophagitis and because of this rare disorder he can't have gluten. When CPK came out with a gluten free pizza he was super excited to try it. So one evening we had dinner at your restaurant. He excitedly ordered your pizza, but he new sometimes gluten free pizzas are not always very good. When the waitress placed the pizza in front of him. He looked at his pizza, looked at me and the said to the waitress, "Are you sure this is gluten free?". After reassurance, he took his first bite and I will never forget the biggest smile on his face. He said that your pizza was just like ours and now he won't have to miss pizza! Thank you CPK for giving my son a little taste of heaven!
With five siblings and their families scattered in different cities and states, we rarely get together, but had the opportunity last year and chose CPK for a late dinner. There were just 12 of us that night, and we were talking, sharing, and laughing over our wonderful pizzas, salads, and appetizers. We were so deep into our bonding that when we actually looked around, we realized the restaurant was pretty quiet and that there were no other customers. Our servers had been so gracious, that we didn't know they'd been closed for nearly an hour. Family time is precious, and not having the pressure or distraction of cooking or cleaning, combined with excellent food and a congenial atmosphere, made for treasured memories. Thank you CPK!
My favorite pizza memory was sharing California Pizza Kitchen pizzas with my stepson and his friends in celebration of his high school graduation!
Sharing pizza with family.
Gathering with family for scrumptious pizza. Everyone has their favorite to enjoy!!!!
Proposed to my wife at a CPI
Walking the streets of NYC with my mom eating the biggest piece of pizza I've even had in my life that was folded in half!
I remember bringinng home my leftovers from CPK. The whole way home I was thinking this pizza is going to be great for lunch the next day at work. Wake up happy as a bee cause lunch is CPK. Take the box to work, put it in the fridge. Lunch rolls around and I'm drooling. Grab box open it up and there is a half an eaten slice with 3 end crusts in there. I was in shock. Who ate my pizza???? Call my husband who said ask your daughter. I texted her and her reply was "woke up at 1 am and was hungry sorry". No was I bad. No CPK & no lunch.
It was a cold winter night and snowing outside ,we had a California pizza in the freezer and we put it in the oven and baked it .We ate pizza and drink some wine by the fire place. We shared memories and laughed and cried and ate pizza and drank wine until late in the morning....It was a great night.....
CPK was one of the few places that my son Tyler would eat during his treatment for Stage IV Neuroblastoma, which is a pediatric cancer that he battled for 16months of treatment from ages 5-6.5. So we went almost weekly for a time period of 6 months because he would actually eat food and the leftovers, even if it was a few bites, at least he would eat. He had lost interest in food and had a NG tube, but he loves the bread and dipping sauce and mac and cheese there. He is doing well now in remission for almost year, thank goodness, and he still loves to eat at CPK. Our local one was closed for renovations for a while and we would go to different locations so that he could have his monthly CPK. My husband and I appreciated the large extensive menu, since we went so frequently, it was nice to be able to order something different each time. Our local one is now open after renovations and we all look forward to our monthly CPK visits.
Beverly Center: Lee, Derick, Alex, Tony, Jonathan and many others who were just wonderful. Now we have a bunch of new friends in Beverly Hills preparing our favorite food and giving smiles and hugs! One more does one want or need?

Always made the best memories together there. I remember my mom even trying to take us on a school field trip to paint the little Pizza boxes.
My 2 year old daughter LOVES pizza so much it was her first word! She is definitely my daughter! :-)
Some of my fondest and earliest memories are of pizza. I grew up in Kansas City, and although that town wasn't known for its pizza, my parent's home was. Kansas City has lots of culinary offers, but pizza isn't one of them, so my parents took it upon themselves to perfect what I now know as my basic pizza recipe. It wasn't deep dish, but it did have a crust that was a solid two inches thick, piled high with copious amounts of cheese, meats and seasonal vegetables. This was always the go-to meal when any of us needed comforting. It's the one time I'm not afraid to say I ate my feelings happily and heartily. That thing was baked with love, joy and tradition. At a young age I was given cheese browning duty. My only mission for the next 20-30 minutes was to sit in front of the oven and watch for the cheese to turn that beautiful shade of brown and holler before it got any darker. It was a badge of honor and I'm sure it kept me out from underfoot. When I left home for the first time, I took very few possessions, but one important thing I did take was a large deep dish pizza pan with a removable bottom, and the family pizza recipe. It's a recipe that to this day my folks don't give out. I know it by heart, and although I make pizza at home differently now, there are very little foods that provide such deep comfort and nostalgia as pizza.
I remember when my daughter and I bought our little house in Annapolis, we went to CPK to celebrate and our waitress bought us a dessert to join in our celebration. We had the bests time and stayed and stayed, great memories
I remember when I went to CPK with my entire family for my graduation and we all ordered individual pizzas and decided to all trade slices to taste everyone's creation!! What a memorable celebration that was.
Late nights at the office, pizza is the tie that binds, as we work into the night to meet our goals.

Living near a brick oven pizza place in Italy and realizing that the way to eat it was to fold in half
Having my son's 10th birthday at CPK and trying to wrangle four 10 year old boys by myself. The kids loved their pizzas.
I had a very enjoyable dinner date with my wife!
My favorite pizza memory was making my very first deep dish pizza at home! I went to the store to buy all of the supplies and equipment needed for the recipe and to bake the pizza at home. I remember combining all of the ingredients for the dough and being amazed by the amount that went into the recipe which really made me grateful for all of the pizzas that I had eaten before because I could now see how much work goes into each and every pizza. Once I added all the ingredients for the homemade dough and let it set and rise for a few hours, I then got started on the tomato sauce. Again, I was astonished by how many ingredients it took to make a great tasting sauce. Once both of those key staples of the pizza were ready to go, I went on to build my very first Chicago-style deep dish pizza, filled with cheese, spinach, onions, sausage, surrounded and topped by my very own handmade dough and sauce! I was so excited to put it in the oven finally and watch it bake through the tiny window in my own. Once it was done baking, I pulled it out of the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, and then sliced it up for my friends and I. WOW, it actually turned out great! I now have an incredible deep dish recipe to make pizza whenever I want, however, I prefer to order in still since it's a little less time consuming.
Pineapples on pizza, sans any other toppings? My cousin Frank, who's an M.D. in Winnipeg is a bit strange when it come to food preferences in our extended family. He does not like corn on the cob. or Chinese food, but he raves about pineapples on pizza. One time down in Los Angeles 40-odd years ago on a famliy trip he mentioned how great pineapple pizza is. We all looked at him like he was crazy. He does not like Chinese food or corn on the cob, but thinks a really sweet fruit more suited to sitting on a stick in a Pina Colada than on dough, mozzarella cheese and tomato paste-based sauce is great? Now keep in mind that I have been long familiar with and enjoyed a Hawaiian pizza, which of course comes with Canadian bacon and pineapple. But pineapple alone??? I'll be darned if cousin Frank turned us on to another way of enjoying pizza.
went for a free pizza on military appreciation day and got hooked on your pizza's. been there ever since...l
We went to CPK and made our own pizzas as a family. My mom (grandma) was trying to talk with Italian accent, sing Italian and yet act as Swedish chef on Sesame Street. A memory I nor my children will forget
When it's date night, with my husband Jim and I...

During high school, we used to hang out in the classroom of my friend's mom who was a teacher and she'd always have some kind of lunch for us everyday. The best days were the pizza days! We'd spend that hour, just eating pizza, hanging out, talking story with each other, and making memories. It's a time I cherish and miss most about high school.
nothing like pepperoni
As a kid I always looked forward to Dad's monthly payday. It meant we were going out for pizza the Friday following it. Cheese pizza with thin crust was my favorite and still is. My husband and I have continued the tradition with our own kids. We will soon be empty nesters and will probably continue Friday Pizza Night.
It took me a long time to finish my bachelor's degree. I worked full time and also had a younger child at the time. I thought I'd never finish it. I finally got my bachelor's degree in media and technology at Villanova University. I celebrated with my husband, son and sister's family at California Pizza Kitchen after. My son is a pizza snob and loves CPK pizza! I am obsessed with their salads. We even have a favorite server named Donny.
Taking my young autistic godson to CPK in Northridge several times and dining outdoors He loved the kids pizza meal & mini sundae Thx CPK for those wonderful memories!
My favorite pizza memory is enjoying a fabulous pizza under a lemon tree in an outdoor restaurant in Sorrento Italy. Love that memory in every way!
We went to CPK the night before my son went off to college on the mainland 6 years ago. My husband and I gave many scenarios on why he should not get into a relationship while going to college. We laughed so hard because we zinged him left and right. I have never forgotten that talk we gave him. When he got to college, he realized that he would not have time for a girlfriend since he was studying and doing homework for 18 credits a quarter. No time for spending with a girlfriend and no money. After he got his bachelors in engineering, now he is going for his masters.
We love getting our family favorites every month!!!
CPK BBQ Chicken Pizza
My favorite pizza memory is from growing up. My parents would order take out pizza and when that happened we knew it was game night! To this day game night and pizza are tied together in my mind.
Our family “get together” place to eat.
For my 30th birthday, my wife surprised me with my own personal pizza month! Every day for the entire month of April, she had arranged for a friend or family member to either take us out for pizza or have pizza delivered to us. And no, I didn't get tired of pizza! I shared a collage of all the pizza I tried on Reddit (/r/pizza) and it was the top post that day!
Having my first California Pizza Kitchen (BBQ Chicken) 25 years ago on my first date with my girlfriend at the time and now is my wife. We have been going ever since!
I loved having pizza for my daughter's high-school friends when they came over to hang out. It was a time when I would get to talk with them a little and get to know them. Ever since then they call me Mamma West.
Our family's number 1 place to eat is without a doubt - CPK!!! The first time we went to a CPK in Encino, CA, our son Edward, who was very young. He ordered the original BBQ chicken pizza with bacon, and we all ordered our individual meals. When his pizza came, it was huge, and we were quite surprised, as we were expecting an individual sized pizza. We laughed as Edward tried to choke it down, but he was quite happy that he could take it home. It took him a couple of days to finish it. Guess what? He just turned 18, and still orders the same pizza to this day, & sometimes eats it in one go :)
When my daughter was about 2 or 3 years old, I heard some noises coming from our kitchen and living room. She had opened the refrigerator and snuck a slice of pizza out and went under our coffee table to eat it. It was priceless.
Smooch A PiZza
As a kid in the 70's I always looked forward to Friday night as it was "pizza night". Pizza was a special treat back then. It was the official start of the weekend!
I had my first taste of pizza at a slumber party in the 6th grade. I thought it was the best thing I had ever tasted. I woke up the next morning and ate it cold for breakfast. I have been a huge fan ever since!

When I was a little girl, in the country with my family, tradition was we would go eat out for pizza on the weekend hangout, order all the different pizza! So we could try all of them out! It was something I always looked forward to doing! It was so fun and exciting! Very beautiful memories

Comfortable food in a comfortable place.
Our youngest loves pizzas from CPK. Everytime we goes to CPK, he would order pizza. One time I suggested for him to order other food on the menu and he told me that this is a pizza restaurant so why would he orders something other than pizza. Silly Mommy.
Every Super Bowl, it is customary for my daughter and I to share a couple of pizzas and watch the game!
My Handsome Husband and I were enjoying our night away from the munchkins -- I mean we REALLY were enjoying our time away from the munchkins and had just had our food delivered when a friend tapped me on the shoulder. She and her hubby were also enjoying the night away from everyone. Had a wonderful visit before we returned to dig into our food. It's so hard to decide between all the yummy choices that we inevitably end up taking a pizza to go so we can enjoy more later!
The first time I had Hawaiian PIZZA with ham and pineapple was in California. I would not eat it. Until the last piece because I was starving. I've loved it ever since!
When I was a kid, my friend, Janie, and I would have sleep-over dates on Friday's. We'd make a pizza out of ingredients that came in a box! We thought it was fabulous! We discovered that the memories of making that "boxed" pizza were a thousand times better than those pizzas! How do we know? Well, we got together a few years ago and made one! Couldn't eat it! Thank heavens for California Pizza Kitchen saving the day. Great memories and great pizza go together❤! Thanks, CPK!!!

My son had pizza at his first birthday party, it was his first birthday and first time having pizza. He loved it!!!
great birthday party memory!
In college, I went out for pizza with my boyfriend, a few of his guy friends, and one of their dads. They were talking much more than I was, so I quietly kept eating slices from the 3-4 varieties on the table, and ate what amounted to an entire large pizza. I think the dad noticed but kindly didn't point it out.
My 15 year old son started ordering his own pizza when he was about 12 and he ordered the Spicy Chipotle chicken pizza. Since then we never went back to just pepperoni anymore. WE love this pizza.
I remember a fund raiser at my middle school. It cost $20 for a pizza you can take home to bake. My family purchased 2 to help out and I brought it home. We baked them both (I have a large family) and they were the best tasting pizzas I remember having. Granted, we used to do the frozen pizza routine, so this was heaven. Now, as an adult, I do not keep any frozen pizzas in my house. Fresh pizza is the only way.
I have great memories of watching my grandmother make pizza from scratch and us enjoying it all together as a family.

My kids love pizza, especially when it piping hot out of the oven and the cheese "strings" from their mouths for miles. The longer the better! The messier the better!
Ordered a pepperoni pizza in Venice Italy and got a pizza covered in multi colored bell peppers. Not exactly what I expected being a California girl.
I remember when CPK first came to Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor, MI. I worked at one of the department stores there. Because of my hours I couldn't eat at school and often times ventured out into the mall for dinner. No one had ever heard of CPK around there at first. So it was so exciting to see a new eatery. It was love at first bite. I was hooked on tostada pizza and never looked back. Now over a decade later that's still my go to pizza.

My sister, Annie, and I laughing hysterically over the Sicilian pizza and Italian chopped salad. Delicious and so special to have time together! Thanks CPK for the great memory!
I'll never forget the first time I went to CPK. It was the first night of my first visiting California, in February 1994. My family comes from the kind of place where the only thing that goes on pizza is pepperoni! Four years later, my family moved to California, and we've probably been to CPKs in the Los Angeles area hundreds more times! We still love it!

Took her to CPK and she ate 4 slices. I couldn't believe it. I had to phone her mom right then with the excitement!! Looks like we will be making weekly visits for pizza. Seeing how CPK is one of my favorites, it's a okay with me!

When w were kids, a very long time ago, my brother, sister and I would take a pizza from the freezer at our family owned restaurant and add shrimp, extra cheese, and lots of different toppings. This was when frozen pizza first came out and it only had cheese and pepperoni on it. We enjoyed being creative, especially my brother Keith. Great memories! We are all in our seventies now and still laugh about it.

My first pizza experience was when I was 16 years old in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Casa Luna Pizzeria. My date took me to a movie and to eat pizza. Since we had a salad with it the restaurant gave us a knife and fork. So I naturally assumed that we were supposed to eat the pizza with a knife and fork as well. Imagine my surprise when my date told me you just pick up the slice, hold it in your hand and eat it. I loved the taste. We have now been married 57 years and pizza is one of our date night favorites after all of these years. CPF is a place we frequent even on non-date occasions.

There was a little pizza place in a strip mall in Whittier, California.., Gino's Puzza ran by a sweet little Italian man. My first pizza was a pepperoni and mushroom and it was pure heaven. His real name was Marco and him and I became good friends.
Thare are five us (women) that have been best friends for 25 years, we have raised our children and watched each other grow older. And we always gather at the local CPK for our birthday celebrations.
High school pizza parties
Gosh we love CPK, when we came to US from France, our first dining place was CPK in Fashion Island, we love it ever since!
Sharing a pizza with my kids for the first time. The look of joy on their face!
I was 9 months old when I ate my first piece of pizza l love love love pizza!
Our 3 sons played baseball for the local youth league. Every year we had to gather sponsors, so one year we approached the local pizza place. The owner, for many years, sponsored my son's team and offered a pizza party for every team in the league! The camaraderie and fun family time spent while enjoying pizza and playing video games there, is still a memory my, now grown, sons each cherish.
My pizza memory is making pizza from scratch at home and then watching movies with friends while enjoying a slice! Yeah, it takes longer to make but, I love days when I don't have to run errands or go to work and I enjoy baking! The pizza in the picture has banana peppers and ham!
Always looked forward to Friday Pizza day at school!
When I was in elementary school I loved the frozen cheese pizza they served at my school and I would trade my lunch on another day when they had burritos or something else I really like but wasn't pizza so that I could have another square slice of pizza. I have fond memories of eating that cafeteria pizza they served at school every two or three weeks.
Pizza in Los Angeles downtown with friends
Having my favorite Thai Crunch pizza on my 21st birthday!
I waitressed at a Chicago pizzeria for years. I never get tired of pizza...stuffed in Chicago, wood oven in Spain and now at CPK with kiddos...because it offers such great adult items, as well as for kids!
My favorite day of the week when I was little was Friday because I knew my dad would get pizza for my grandma, my sister and me to share with him.
Sitting and eating with my parents , who have now passed
My first date with the girl I'm now dating hopefully forever.
The time the top of my pizza feel off in the oven when I was taking it out.
Great restaurant, good food and friendly service

Shrimp Scampi Pizza! Thai Chicken Pizza! CPK is so creative! We have to go back for more!
Margurita (?sp) pizza does not give you a buzz (like the drink), and is super delicious!
MY FAVORITE PIZZA MEMORY I MUST SAY WAS WHEN I CAME TO CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN AND TRIED MY VERY FIRST SALAD PIZZA WHICH WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!
My favorite pizza memory is when my parents finally broke down & ordered pizza delivered to our door on a Saturday "family movie night" - with rental VHS movies.
Grilling pizza with my two favorite little dudes!
I remember dining at CPK at the Galleria in St. Louis when I was about 7 years old. I loved eating there because the food was fantastic and it was connected to a mall, probably meaning I was given toys that day...mood was happy! Haha. The waitress kept looking over at our table and finally asked my mom if I was in the movie Mr. Hollands Opus as the little boy. Apparently I have a Hollywood doppelgänger and the smart waitress who was a music major at WashU noticed! I will never forget it and I've been a CPK customer for life!
Our daughter ate pizza for the first time at 11 months old and she was so excited that by the end of devouring her slice of pizza, her entire face was covered with tomato sauce! She is still an avid CPK Pizza fan 8 years later!
I just love the CPK Tostada Pizza. I mean, who doesn't love Ranch and Beans. We always celebrate my birthday with the delicious Tostada Pizza, and now that I'm retired, I can have it any time I want. The hard part is saving some for breakfast & coffee the next morning. #coldpizzabreakfast
The original BBQ at the Topanga store maybe 30 years ago
When I has a veggie pizza for ash Wednesday and it was the best pizza never didn't miss my pepperoni after all.
Pizza night at our house was always special when our children were still at home. Whether they were 5 or 15, the excitement of having pizza was always there.
My Grandson eating pizza next to the HUGE portrait of one of his heros - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle - at CPK!
Pizza is the one food my entire family (immediate and extended) can agree upon! I remember a CPK birthday party for my nephew. My son literally dumped all his ingredients onto his pizza and ate it enthusiastically. The tour of the kitchen was a nice touch.
When my nephew tried to eat the pizza memory card because he thought it was pizza!
Working late, running late for boys baseball game and arriving (pizza in hand) at the field in time to see a double play involving my two sons...direct hit to the pitcher (youngest son) followed by a quick throw to the first baseman (older brother) to get that runner out! It was a great finish to the game and I was there to see it! Wow we finished the game eating pizza and reliving the moment!
Eating new pizza for the first time.
I was little, young, and raised by wolves. Well actually not real wolves but close, kids 8-16 years older than myself. It was my brother that introduced me to good old fashion East Coast Style pizza. Bubbly crush and not just small bubbles but big huge balloons of goodness; thin, crispy, lovey and delivered right to the family front room. We sat there as friends one boy 18 and me just old enough to eat solid food. It's been a life long love affair with food and I love my brother for the introduction. Saluti!
I love bonding with family over pizza like at our family reunion!
That time I burned my tongue so badly I couldn't finish my pizza
Enjoying a slice as a kid when we had to go out as a family to an event
You used to have veggie calzon and southwestern burrito pizza which we loved and ordered all the time, now we love chipotle chicken pizza! I love how you guys come up with new menu items.
OMG the best pizza in the whole world comes from California Pizza Kitchen! Everything about it is perfect! The crust is just right in fact it's even better then their bread which is the the best anywhere!
As a Child I remember going to the pizzeria located on the conner of street where I lived this being my favorite in New York!! and for a dollar I would buy a slice of pizza, soda and candy !! Can you believe this all for a dollar!!!!!! What fond memories I have.... If you"re a New Yorker you would always have a pizzeria in the neighborhood that you loved ,hanging there or just enjoying the best pizza there is which is New York Pizza
After long day of hiking, pizza at.lake with friends.
winning a gold medal for my Hawaiian pizza in the 4H cooking contest
Our family was at the California Pizza Kitchen in Las Vegas. My son (who is quadriplegic, non-verbal and has a lot of involuntary movements) was sitting next to my husband, who would not stop eating, decided to grab my husbands head and laugh. My son does not eat orally and had enough. The entire family started laughing until we cried. None of us can look at pizza the same again without remembering how much fun we had that day.
I am missing the pear and gorgonzola pizza - one of the best!
any and all visits for pizza are special memories.
My love for CPK pizza began with a visit to Hawaii in 1993 where my husband and I enjoyed our first CPK Thai chicken pizza and fell in love with the crunchy carrots and bean sprouts on top of the delicious Thai peanut sauce! We spent a couple of months in Oahu and had two CPK locations to choose from, but enjoyed the beach location that we could walk to and enjoy our pizza experience at least once a week and sometimes more. CPK was one of our fondest food locations in Hawaii and because it was such a busy location, we used to opt for sitting at the counter to eat, where we could watch them make and bake the pizzas!
All the pizza we tried were awesome, so many variety
Everyone has a childhood memory, every child’s favorite food is pizza!!! My fun memory for pizza is when I was 5 years old waiting in the cafeteria line always happy that it was Friday because it’s pizza Friday! So much memories with the cheesy pizza we kids all gathered at the table stretching that amazing long cheesy pizza, taking off the pepperoni off the slice and saving it for the end! Every child is a pizza connesoir, and I’m not going to lie CPK always has the BEST fresh ingredients and fresh dough! Made from scratch and the fastest!! Any CPK I go to, the one at Sacramento, New York or even the one in Los Angeles I can proudly say it will taste the same because they are consistent! Proud customer of CPK for 8 years now, when I have a child, I will gladly take my kid there to eat!
Our first trip to CPK, Steve and I were welcomed with a free appetizer. The staff is so friendly, that we now go to CPK once a month. We always sit at the bar, and they make our favorite drinks, so we can enjoy with our amazing dinner. Thank you Roseville CPK
Having my first ever slice of pizza with my father in Coney Island
My favorite memory is how CPK always meets my desires and makes it my way! Thank you!!
In middle school, Friday was pizza day in the cafeteria!
Thai pizza is great 👍
California chicken pizza
I love pizza
As a single parent, dining out was a very special treat. I lived in Anchorage Alaska with my 2 kids and they always chose Shakey's Pizza for our weekly night out.....always, without exception, it was PIZZA night for us. Is there anything better? All the food groups! :)
So, it was late and all the pizza places were closed in my area. It was also the night before my 2 yr anniversary with my boyfriend. I wanted to make him something special so I looked into the fridge and saw nothing but vegetables and leftover chicken dinner from the other night. I decided I was going to make a homemade pizza and surprise him with a candlelight dinner to set in a sweetheart date type of mood. I molded the pizza crust into a heart, added bbq sauce, chicken, corn, black beans, bacon, thinly sliced tomatoes and added enough cheese to make a mighty cheese pull. Luckily, by the time he came home, the pizza was still baking in the oven. The was amazement written on his face when he saw a heart shaped pizza. He said it was the sweetest gesture! Now we take pride in making pizza together on days we dont feel like going out to eat. Homemade pizza is a cute reminder for us that you can make any night special and put a smile on someone's face!
Although my kids won't try anything different or adventurous on their pizza, I am constantly trying to push myself to try something new. Some toppings work. Some don't. One of my favorites that I made (and my boys wouldn't touch) was this tomato, basil, and flower petal pizza. Delish! And I had it all to myself! ;)
My sons first margarita pizza. He is now hooked at 2 years old. He must get it from his mom who ate pizza practically everyday while pregnant with him.
Our twin girls celebrated their 5th birthday at CPK. The staff was amazing. They took the girls' and their friends on a tour of the kitchen and even let them make pizza's! They were also given a CPK chef jacket with their name on it. It was a fun day with great food, friends and family!!
That unforgetable moment when you are waiting for your CPK pizza at the table; Imagining it, drooling over it, then you smell the faintest hint that it is coming your way and you finally see it. Best. Moment. Ever.
HAVING MY ANNIVERSARY DINNER AT CPK WAS FUN.
Top of the pizza falling off in the oven.
I met my then future wife for the first time at the CPK in Chesterfield Mall, our first meal together was a pepperoni pizza in a booth near the bar. We've even gone back and had anniversary dinners where we requested the same booth. It, along with our wedding day and the births of our two children are some of the best memories of our life.
Having pizza with my friends going out by ourselves for the first time to our neighbor hood pizza parlor. We felt very adult.
Pizza tastes the same stuck to the "roof" of the pizza box!
Grilling pizza with my two favorite little dudes!
Second Date at California Pizza Kitchen in Palm Desert
best favorite memory are all the fabulous people and servers that work at the Tustin, California pizza kitchen, each and everyone have made our visits to the restaurant very memorable incredible people
So much fun to hang out with our lifelong girlfriends at CPK!
My Mom making pizza for us, my Dad, brothers and sisters.
I am not a big fan of pizza. However, after testing jamaican jerk pizza in CPK, I totally love it. I think everyone should try it. The service in great, people are very friendly. Manager in Palo Alto Standford shopping center is awesome!
having pizza with family and enjoying the night out
We have meat eaters, vegetarians, flavor of the month, and cheese eaters in our family! Since my kids are all adults it is hard to get everyone together as the same time and even harder to cook for everyone! So our go to meal is yummy pizza! Everyone can get what they like and everyone ends up happy and full! We love all the varieties of CPK pizzas! Something for everyone =)
Life is precious. So, I believe seizing every moment and making memories that will last a lifetime. That is why my mom and I like to stop at CPK and bond over a little salad and pizza!
As a child of about 9 years old, I remember seeing cheese pizza for the first time at Woolworth's Dept. Store. The aroma was so wonderful and the pizza looked absolutely delicious. My younger sister and I decided to buy a slice and try a slice of this huge bread called pizza. When the sales person handed us our slice of pizza, the cheese was stretching away from the pie and we had never seen cheese stretch like that. The cheese had a sprinkling of oregano which smelt so delicious. We were so happy that this slice of pizza was so tasty.
eating pizza after high school football games
Just before my Dad became ill with Alzheimer's he visited us for the last time in Atlanta and we took him to our favorite restaurant that my daughter and I frequent every other Saturday. We have such great pictures from that night and I cherish them more now than ever. We lost him in July. I don't have the picture scanned so I can't upload it but I wish I did!
Homemade pizzas were on the menu for our high school video club premiere party that featured wheat crust, roasted veggies and goat cheese... A few years later, I ordered a verrrry similar pizza off the menu at CPK!
helping my friend move to her new apartment and up three flights of stairs.
My favorite memory is making homemade pizza with my kids. We do buy the dough though! Put our favorite cheese and meet and loads of olives... bake it and watch a movie....
When I was traveling with my school, we went to Anaheim California. We were all in the mood for pizza so we found a California Pizza Kitchen at the Garden Walk. These pizzas were outstanding, one of the best pizzas I've ever had! When I returned home to Pennsylvania I was telling my parents about this pizza place and I wish they could go to it. We looked up the closest location to our home and the Plymouth Meeting mall CPK was only 45 minutes away! My parents and I ventured out there and my parents fell in love with CPK just like I did. We go at least once a month and we use our rewards every time! (In my attached photo, I'm the one in the back left with the white and black polka dot shirt and white sunglasses!)
World-wide search for best pizza ever continues; Fungi Pizza at Lenox Head, AU prevails. But, CPK remains our USA favorite, and is the 'pizza crust standard' to which my husband's culinary skills are measured.
Vegetable pizza, good food
I remember eating pizza in NY’s Little Italy with my parents when I was 12 years old. Oh yum!
When we first came to US, our aunt took us to CPK for our first dining experience in US, we love it ever since! It's been over 23 yrs now :)
I was in a board games group in Phoenix, and we sometimes met at the CPK there. The memories were definitely happy ones.
We are a pizza family! And every saturday night is dedicated to pizza. Pizza brings us together, which quite an accomplishment with a teenager. Pizza is our family hero
Making pizza with my mommy as a child
My son Damian loved your barbecue chicken pizza with feta cheese all over it. It was his favorite meal and always made him happy and created a huge smile on his face! It makes me happy whenever I have one in his memory, He died when an 18 wheeler knocked him off a cliff and took off when he was coming to take me to lunch! Your barbecue chicken pizza helps me keep his happy memories alive!
Family enjoying pizza and adults a great glass of wine.
Date with my teenage boy

Every time I eat pizza, it’s like I’m in heaven!
I was at an Overeater's Anonymous meeting one night. It was held in an empty storefront in a strip mall. This meeting was for people who were 100 lbs or more overweight & there was at least 20 people who were there. The main speaker that night was sharing his past & his sad story very intensely. He had us all listening quietly & respectfully when all of a sudden, the door flew open & a young man with a very large pizza yelled from the door, "Did anyone order a pizza here?" It took a second for him to realize where he was, that he had picked the WRONG room, & (as a joke), the speaker & another guy bolted after the young pizza guy. If you had seen the look from that young kids face as he tore out of there, afraid of being trampled! We all laughed so hard I could never forget that moment!
Pizza was always the first choice for a reward celebration for my boys elementary school academic awards
Sitting with grandson at the bar facing the oven is his favorite past time envying his kids pizza meal.
I think it's about 60 years since I enjoyed my extra cheesy pizza with anchovies at Giuseppe's on Roosevelt Blvd in Philadelphia. If I had a dime for every slice I ate, I'd still choose the pizza. At CPK the choices are great even when they change; frequently.
CPK opening day @ Schaumburg IL I feel in love with the veggies on pizza Flavor was perfect! & since then I m a customer for life. Any & every food item on menu is perfect for me!!!!!
Halloween every year..my pizza, chili bar..fun for all before and after trick o treating..I also do it again for tree trimming night..family,mfriends, food, fun equal memories!
college dorm dinners freshman year
My son loves pizza so much that every time our family wanted to go out and eat Chinese food, we would have to go to the near by pizzaria and buy him a slice or two. He would be the only one at the dinner table eating pizza while the rest of us were eating a 7 course Chinese meal!this happened on multiple occasions! Till this day, he loves pizza and will order one whole pizza and a pasta at CPK when we go there for dinner.
Thai chicken pizza! with the peanut sauce! sooo yummy. Coming from Hawaii we have alot of Thai food but this is by far my favorite
Shrimp Scampi Pizza
Shrimp Scampi Pizza
We have celebrated many special days (too many birthdays to count!) over pizza--forget the cake. A simple cheese pizza has always been the way to kick off a weekend and a chance for the family to share how the week went. It's been the meal choice that no one seems to ever argue over either--perfect choice!
My husband & I live two hours from St. Louis. When we travel to the city, we always stop for lunch atCPK at the Galleria, sit at the bar to enjoy pizza & a salad. Always a great experience & a great lunch.Hynes
Love the habera pitza
My best college memories are enjoying pizza with a date on Saturday nights after University of Miami football games. Pizza has remained part of my life long after college. I even broke up with a long-time boyfriend over a pizza at an Italian restaurant.
The pizza party after our team won the title!
Celebrating my 79th birthday at CPK with my daughter, son in law, and 2 granddaughters who had never been to CPK. We had cheese, bar b q and pepperoni pizzas. Three generations and so Amazing.
The California Pizza is the best
I have fond memories of the various pizzas I had at CPK when me and my ex-gf would go there almost twice a month. Thai Chicken and BBQ Chicken were our favorites. I'm eager to eat more of CPK!

A pizza with so much salad and peaches
There are too many to name. I grew up on pizza, whether it be a Monday Night Special, a birthday party, or just a craving. I love all kinds of pizza and it still is one of my top craved food.
I learned that pizza came in all shapes and sizes in Italy. When I was told that you get to buy slices by the cut, you can only imagine how large a slice I bought.
My Korean grandmother raised me so we always had home cooking and she was a amazing chef. Pizza was one food item she didn't know how to make though and she would take me out for some as a child as a treat. She didn't speak English but was always able to order and she loved her pizza! It's strange because we are Korean, but pizza always reminded me of my grandmother.
When I was younger and was member of a running club we used go to various pizza restaurants after our weekly club run to have a pizza orgy. I have many fond memories of those friends and all the pizza we consumed.
My grandma made the best pizza. One time she had the whole family over. At the time my aunt mentioned she had become a little heavy with the salt. I took my first bite of pizza and it tasted like someone put a whole pound of salt on it. I was relieved to find out that I was eating the anchovy pizza. I miss her and out pizza nights.
First time trying BBQ chicken pizza changed my life.
Eating pear slices on a pizza and thinking how AMAZING it was!
My best friends and I used to always go to get the Thai Crunch Salad, pesto cream penne, and Roasted Veggie Pizza. We would rarely see each other so it was always a great time and it was always CPK!
My favorite pizza memory has to be when my younger brother and I would wake up and see that pizza box in the kitchen and yell "PIZZA"!!! We would open up the box and see all those pizza “sticks” that our parents had saved for us from their late night (after the kids were asleep) pizza binge! What we thought was yummy pizza was actually only the leftover pizza crust! For the longest time we never knew our “pizza” was missing the best parts, the melty cheese, sauce and toppings. It wasn’t until my two other brothers came along that they let us in on the secret and we finally tasted a real, complete pizza. We have to laugh about now at family gatherings … while we’re enjoying pizza!
Pizza for 16th birthday surprise party
The Sicilian is my favorite!
Announcing Pizza night to my 2 year old. Then watching extreme excitement quickly turn into exhaustion. Pizza dreaming!
Visited my Italian Nonna Regina when I was a kid in the 1950s. She baked her own pizza, using her own home grown garden tomatoes and vegetables and anything else she had leftover. No one knew what pizza was in those days! It is a great memory. Wish today's pizzas were made with as much love! She would say "Mangia" (eat, eat!), so, i did as I was ordered to! You weren't a good Italian in those days, unless your kids (grandkids) had some weight on them!
My favorite memorie was when my family and I went out to a pizzaria near us and we all took a bite of our pizza and it was like magic that we all said "AHHH THATS HOT!!!"
Birthday party with multiple pizzas for everybody to enjoy. So many good selections, hard to choose favorite.
When I was young I was a very picky eater. My first exposure to pizza was when my favorite Aunt was baby sitting me. She served pizza for lunch but I wouldn't touch it! She let me eat cereal instead. I think back of that now and laugh! Pizza is one of my most favorite foods!!!
Having pizza when we went to Pa to visit my grandma.
Grilling pizza with my two favorite little dudes!
After my first date with my now husband we went for pizza. Being the gentleman he still is, he helped put a slice of pizza on my plate. He had such flair and style the slice went a little to far and landed in my lap. After over 50 years together, we still love our pizza, but now I serve him.
Going back to my teenage years - I, along with a group of friends & relatives, would enjoy a plain pizza pie at our local restaurant on Broadway in Manhattan - it was in the 80's and the name of the restaurant was Palma's or Parma's. All I can remember is that the smell and taste was magnificent. If I had the same pizza today, I can't promise that I'd feel the same way.
First visit to CPK was just after Fashion Island Newport Beach srore opened for business & it was a revelation regarding how delicious and exciting a pizza could be!! It's still our favorite CPK and we go often to enjoy our favorites...and try the newest menu items.
We love gathering around pizza! Whether out at one of our three favorite places (the one in our little town, CPK in San Antonio, or the one in between)... or in our home, it's a favorite meal for us. Making it from scratch is especially fun because I love cooking together... and everyone gets to express their personalities. Fun toppings and sometimes funny faces appear on our pizzas!
I love eating pizza at CPK everyday. Thanks!
I grew up in Philadelphia, a big "tomato pie" town. After having my first piece as a six year old, I informed my mother that we didn't have to worry about having any other food; that we could have pizza every day from now on...
Enjoyed my first piece of pizza about 68 years ago in Newark, NJ. For about 15 or 20 cents, I could get a large slice of pizza heaven, from the small Italian neighborhood pizza place. It was the most wonderful treat ever!! Always chose that over candy or ice cream!! I was about 5 years old😊
My brother had to have open heart surgery and for the longest time after his recovery he could not have much of any thing. He was on a very strict diet for months and his #1 request for his recovery was to have a Pizza Party, a CPK Pizza Party. I do not think we had any less than 10 pizzas at this family gathering and it was just what the doctor ordered so to speak. He got his life back, he got to eat his favorite pizza, and to enjoy his family and friends and to continue to build memories and more. With that I say pizza for EVERYONE!
My first date

I am originally from India and pizza is not pretty common in India. When I came to USA for doing my Masters in one of the student meetings there was free pizza served. I was so broke as a student that I ate without thinking what meat it has. Later found that it has beef & pepperoni which I don't eat. On a side note I really liked the taste and from that moment started eating all kinds of meat and pizza is one of my favourite foods.
once when my niece was about 3 or 4 years old we had ordered 2 take out pizzas.one had olives and mushrooms ,one sausage and pepperoni...everyone was sitting around eating and she went back in the kitchen..after a few very quiet minutes in there someone called her to come out to living room and she walks back in smiling.."look,she said, they put these rings on it for my fingers..she had stuck a black olive on every finger...your supposed to eat those, not wear them, someone said..no,she said,I cant eat my fingers...every time we order olives on pizza I think of that day many years ago...
In the 1950's my father would take the family to a local pizza restaurant on a Friday and order a pie. When delivered to our table I would always hope to get one of the slices with the crust that bubbled from the rising & heat. I thought it was delicious. I really like a crispy crust. It was always enjoyable to see the ceramic statue of the pizza chef in the window holding a pie.

The first time I tasted pizza was in 1953 when I first moved to St. Louis MO. It was a monumental moment when I decided I would stay in St. Louis.
How satisfying it is
going into town to Mama's pizzeria in Willimantic CT. Such great pizza. They are still there but sadly, I'm not...
My son's first birthday party at our local CPK!
Celebrating my dad’s birthday every year with a pizza cake lit with candles!
The most creative and incredible pizzas to eat at CPK!
I tried to make pizza for my daughter's birthday. It was a total disaster. I learned to stick with the master pizza makers and order from CPK.
There were 7 of us growing up in New Jersey. Friday night was pizza night ..everyone was always home on Friday night.
Grandma's Silcilia Pizza
The first time I went to New York City we visited Coney Island. The amusement park was no longer in its heyday....it seemed a bit tired. However at a famous fried chicken fast food outlet, there was a guy flinging pizzas in the air. We ordered some and were amazed at the taste and texture of this "authentic" NYC pizza. The slice was beyond any I'd ever had before -- hot and chewy and tasty. It remains one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted....who would've thought I'd find it at a fried chicken joint??
It was a rough day at work, so I called our local pizza joint (this was before there was CPK) and ordered a "Three Mushroom Pizza" to pick up on the way home. I got the the pizza parlor and there were 3 pizzas waiting for me! "What is that?" I asked. "I only ordered one pizza?". To which the host replied "You order is right here. Is says you ordered 3 Mushroom Pizzas." I laughed and said "Your order taker heard me wrong. I didn't order 3 Mushroom pizzas. I ordered 1, Three Mushroom Pizzas! You know, the pizza with 3 types of mushrooms!" He finally understood and we both had a good laugh. Then....I left with 3...Three Mushroom Pizzas and 2 were free! Score!
Two of my friends and I have been getting together to celebrate our birthdays. For several years now our restaurant of choice for our lunches has been the CPK. Always ordering the Thai Chicken Salad with extra peanut sauce on the side. It has become quite the tradition
Eating pizza every Thursday nite as a kid at our local pizza place!!! Too many cute stories to share just one!!
Endless hours of fun with friends with my favorite: roasted garlic chicken
Favorite Pizza Memory was when I first had a Hawaiian Pizza and I could not believe how delicious it was and kept telling my husband over and over again. Every time I order it I get so happy and excited and he tells me, "I know , I know you LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE this pizza!
Our family's favorite pizza memory is when as usual we went to CPK for the millionth time. Each time I order the BBQ chicken pizza and my son orders the kids cheese. I always offer him a slice of mine and he always refuses, until one day he turned 10 and he tried a slice. His eyes lit up and he loved it!!! Now he is 12 and always orders the adult size BBQ chicken pizza for himself!
It was my pleasure to meet the California Pizza Kitchen founders and owners at their original location in Beverly Hills in 1985. I was able to help them to publicize and grow their business through advertising in the Pacific Bell Yellow Pages volumes in Beverly Hills and neighboring communities. The Pizza section of the yellow pages was one of the most used for many years until the introduction and growth of the internet.
My favorite memory is one my kids will always remember, we make pizza at home together as a family and they get to pick all their favorites. They are learning how to mix ingredients and spending time together is important for a healthy, happy life.
Having pizza with my football team as a child is one of my favorite memories.
My favorite CPK memory is when the popular chain first came to Houston. I was so excited! I had heard about how wonderful it was, and it lived up to its reputation!
My birthday.. I was too busy in grad school to go out..my friends got me a CPK pizza and came home to celebrate at night!
Sitting at a back booth with my (then) boyfriend and future brother in law, eating a chicken pizza with chives, laughing and telling stories. I can still see and taste the pizza and remember the happy feeling I had.
My mom ran a business out of our home and every two weeks she had to pull an all-nighter to get work done for a large company. That night was always pizza night. Having pulled a few all-nighters myself now as adult, I truly appreciate what those pizza nights meant to our family.
I am in love with the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza. I first had it at a business conference many years ago where CPK was served. I was hooked, in fact I drove to the nearest CPK to order another the following weekend! I still love that pizza and order it today!
I had a bad cold and hadn't had a decent meal in a couple days. Was craving a mushroom pizza. Went, ordered, ate and in the middle of my meal I sneezed so ferociously that a mushroom flew out of my mouth and right into my glass of wine. Thankfully no one noticed the little mushroom in my glass as I was able to scurry about and used my fork to retrieve it. True story - LOL!!!!!
Ordering pizza on Friday nights, because it was quick. A great way to start the weekend.
AS A 14 YEAR OLD, I LEARNED HOW TO MAKE PIZZA AT A LOCAL CHICAGO STYLE PIZZERIA. I HAD A PROBLEM "SLAPPING OUT" ROUND CRUSTS. THEY WERE ALL OVAL. THE MASTER PIZZA MAKER KNEW HOW TO RESOLVE THAT ISSUE. SINCE WE CUT THE SLICES INTO STRIPS, HE PULLED OUT A COUPLE OF THE MIDDLE STRIPS AND SLID THE TWO REMAINING PORTIONS TOGETHER TO MAKE A PERFECTLY ROUND PIZZA. THAT'S THE CHICAGO WAY AND I HAD MY FIRST PRACTICAL GEOMETRY LESSON. NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE KEPT MAKING THE OVAL PIZZAS AND ALWAYS HAD PIZZA FOR OURSELVES!

Taking my great niece to Ca. Pizza. Her eyes got so big when she saw her own personal pizza. She had never seen a pizza so small (she thought they only came in extra large). She did manage to eat the whole thing. It was very funny , she ordered ice cream for dessert ands finished that also.
My very first California Pizza I knew I was I heaven Thank you Barb. I been to heaven my times since!
As a New York-born girl, I basically bleed pizza. It's been the heart of so many memories throughout my life. From making homemade pizza in grandma's kitchen as a kid, to enjoying a slice with my 7-year-old nephew today (last one was at CPK, actually!), pizza truly represents family in my life.
Playing the piano in a pizza parlor during college for pizza and beer instead of tips!

This Nana lives in California but my three grandsons live in Texas. Our classic date night is going to our favorite Pizza Joint, NO PARENTS ALLOWED....
As the father of 5 boys - family pizza night became regular favorite in our home. In retrospect, a wonderful memory of creating many pizzas, with many toppings times 5 boys - organized chaos with of course PIZZA and just being all together - best of memories for our family!
My favorite pizza memory is when my family was debating burgers in Myrtle Beach but we found CPK. We had never heard of CPK before but I'm so glad we gave it a chance- best meal on vacation - best pizza ever! And the bread :)
Mango Tandoori Chicken Pizza
Ordering large, extra cheese pizzas delivered to our home on Friday nights with a friend sleeping over as a middle schooler. We'd have to wait outside for the delivery so as to not wake our parents. Then we'd eat the entire thing!
Sitting around the dinner table, all enjoying pizza night.
My favorite pizza memory is when my former roommate shared that she was pregnant! Since the birth of her son, we've included him on her girl nights out and he sure is the life of the party. It's a special moment that we get to relive every time we get together at CPK!
Laughing till it hurts while enjoying our California Pizza and of course Sangria too!
When I was a child my parents would take me to The Italian Kitchen in Fresno California where the owner would let me come into the kitchen and watch him throw the dough and make the pizza. When they closed the restaurant I was fortunate enough to get one of the pizza pans as a memory.
The first time I ever had pizza: I was 4 years old and staying with my aunt and uncle and cousins while my mom was having surgery. I've been hooked ever since.
I love eating pizza with my girlfriends as we catch up on life!
My kids love pizza and it's something we look forward to each week!

watching 2 year old granddaughter eat first slice!
Being young, our family poor, and invited to a classmate's birthday party at a pizza joint! A man laughing while playing the piano, eating all the delicious pizza I wanted, smiles on everyone's faces, the rich smell of dough and spices heavy in the air. It was a night of joy like I'd never had!
Every Friday night before our high school football games as part of the marching band, my friends & I would grab some pizza from our local valley pizza joint. Laughs & all were always present. I would very much like to win to carry that on.
My first CPK experience was at the first location at Beverly Hills about 25 years ago and I have been hooked on CPK pizza ever since. Best pizza on the planet, even better than Italy itself!
Growing up in New Jersey and eating the biggest slices of pizza on the Boardwalk!

My most fun memory is when I tried the California Club pizza for the first time. It was like a salad bar on top of bread. Loved it.
I grew up on Long Island and since have lived (and visited!) several different states but Long Island pizza is still the best! My sister has learned to make it just right and we love to have her pizza when we go back to the Island to visit!

Taking my little brothers to CPK was one of my favorite things to do when they were growing up. They would do all their homework & chores just so I would take them to get a kids pizza. Nothing else got them to do that stuff! Plus their free birthday certificates was one of their favorites!
My favorite Pizza Memory was when the Carne Asada Pizza came back... it brought me back...
Pizza on the Slide - Picture this, its a Friday night and my sister and I were hungry for a slice of peperoni pizza pie. Our tummies were ready for cheesy goodness! Dad went to pick up the pizza...before the time of delivery...he carried the pizza box like a "briefcase", when we opened up the box, the pizza was all melted to one side. We laughed so hard at the sight of the blob of cheese. Dad didn't realize pizza boxes cant be carried sideways...guess he was used to his work briefcase! That was the first time I ate my pizza with a Fork! Fond memories of my family and the fun times we had growing up and eating together. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Your superb White Cheese Pizza, that and a salad was kist [erfect/
My favorite pizza memory is when I came to visit CPK, on year ago. And when I tasted the food, it even put DiGiorno's to shame. Pizza is also just good for you.

Making homemade mini pizzas with family :)
My plumber guy flooded my room so in return, he came back to fix my room along with an apology card and a CPK gift card. I have never been to CPK before and since then, I've been a regular customer because the food is awesome there!
Going out for pizza after our golf league every Thursday night. Our group would enjoy conversation and friendship over a pizza. Every week we would say "Do you want to try something other than pizza?". The answer was always "No, we love pizza!" Memories of our Thursday night pizza with the "golf women" will always be dear in our hearts. Pizza with friends, conversations, and laughs are the best! If there was a topping selection we all agreed on...it was "extra grated cheese" to sprinkle on the pizza, once it was delivered to the table. It was like sprinkling smiles on that pizza! Good memories like these are what makes life happy!
Date night without the dishes!
Am a single mom. My daughter and I have gone through a lot of adversities. Every time I got a chance to financially be able to treat her to her favorite pizza at CPK, it was always a happy break for us. The most memorable one was when we celebrated both our graduations with her best friends (hers from HS, mine for my BS) where both of us got academic honors.
Eating at a pizza buffet with my family
My favorite pizza memory is the times i got to eat the delicious CPK peking duck pizza. Loved the hoisin sauce too. Miss it. Wish it's brought back soon.
As a young girl, I didn't like the crust of a pizza. There was a pizza shop in Philadelpia that made such a large pizza that there was a middle piece that had no crust and everyone knew that it was just for me.
My mom would make pizza and the topping would be sardines. I used to love it. Not too sure if I would now!
Lisa Anne M
We didn't have a lot of money growing up, but my Italian mom always found a way to make the best pizzas . . . sometimes just a little olive oil, seasonings, and whatever bits of vegetables or renderings we had in the refrigerator on homemade crust. Nothing tasted better!! 😋❤️
California Pizza's delicious Santa Fe Chicken Pizza!! Yum. We miss it so much. Please, please bring it back. :-D's xoxo's
Celebrating with family is love! Celebrating with CPK food is joy!
The first time I ever visited CPK, I had recently had my first pizza with non-traditional ingredients (particularly apple slices) on a trip in Canada, so when I saw the pear pizza on CPK's menu, I had to get it.
Coming in to cpk, ordering my custom pizza of chicken, bacon, ranch. And catching up with cpk staff that truely make u feel like family.

When I was growing up we had meatless fridays which made cheese piazzas the most popular dinner for kids who didn't like fish.
Our best pizza memory is going to COK night for Wilbur Elementary in Tarzana and getting to eat our delicious CPK meal with our friend Jaden and her mom Kathy and all of our friends who would come out to support our school. And there were no dishes to wash after.
One of my favorite memories (recurring memories) is spending time with my bff. We like to make it our friends date night. We always pick two dishes and share so we get to eat different things. It's so hard to choose one dish with your menu. And you can't go wrong with anything. I'm just incredibly sad that the tricolore salad isn't on the menu anymore. But love that the staff is willing to make one for me. Love love love cpk!!!
CPK made the best pizza salad ever
One year we went for each family members birthday and each time had to order a different pizza never tried before until e we tried every pizza on the menu

Taking our 13 yo daughter to CPK for her birthday with her friends and seeing the absolute joy and excitement on their faces as they got to sit at their own table and order their food. ... of course, I picked up that tab though. :)

Having lunch with my sis that live far away
Though not exactly just about the pizza when my boys were in their teens we went to our local CPK where they proceeded to drink their sodas as fast as our server would pour the refills. Instead of being annoyed she played along with them and kept up the refills until they called uncle. They were full of antics that evening and we spent the majority of our meal laughing. We did enjoy our pizzas for dinner but their goofiness and the kindness of the server remains a fond memory that I hold onto now that they are both young men and not living at home. I often purchase CPK gift cards to send them and I'm pretty sure they too recall the "drink refill" dinner fondly.
Enjoying Garlic Shrimp Pizza with friends and family.
Eating CPK pizza in the car!

Peking duck pizza
I love going to CPK and sitting outside having a slice of pizza with a drink with my boyfriend or family!
The whole family was out for pizza one Friday evening. Everyone was ordering their favorite, with mine being anything with extra cheese! As we are sitting eating and drinking, I kept noticing everyone smiling at me more than usual. I continued to talk and smile back until my daughter spoke up laughing so hare she was crying and said should I tell her? Tell who I said? Well everyone giggled and said yes, so my daughter proceeded to tell me that everyone was amused by a thin string of cheese that had been dangling off my chin for a while and when I talked it would sway back and forth! I was so thrilled to entertain everyone at dinner that I dare not show my embarrassment, instead I left it to dangle and said, " I am saving it for later". Everyone laughed and I did not touch that cheese until dessert time came around!
I enjoy the warm and special greetings we get as veterans from your restaurant. Thank you for your support.
Carne Asda pizza sharing with friends highlighted with the awesome appetizers. I spend all special days at CPK and non-special days too!
Sharing our first CPK in Las Vegas. Margherita, yum!
Remembering enjoying pizza n salads with family
In march of 2009 I was leaving for Germany on my first assignment in the United States Air Force. I had never travelled outside the US before and was now on my way to a foreign country to start my career at just 20 years old. My dad took me to the airport and waited with me at my gate. While we sat there, we decided to get something to eat and there happened to be a CPK in the terminal. To this day, I remember sharing that pizza with my dad while we waited for my plane. I was terrified, excited, and had no idea what was to come but was so grateful to have my dad there with me. He passed away about 10 years ago but I remember that like it was yesterday.
First visit with my wife to the CPK in Del Mar, CA.
surprise birthay party making our own pizza
I picked up a pizza for dinner as a surprise. Coming into the kitchen with the pizza, I opened the box and tripped over a shoe laying on the floor. The pizza flew out of the box landing upside down. My wife said " what a nice thought, but you have a huge mess to clean up!"
Barbecue chicken with my husband of 53 years! two best things in the world!
Did not know what a Margherita Pizza was until I had one at CPK about 6 years ago! Simple and wonderful!
I took my niece Kendall out on Tuesday nights to the mall and most times we would eat at California Pizza Kitchen salads or pizza and just chatted - LOVE the time we spent together - CPK was the perfect backdrop for our time together. She's now a senior in high school - time sure does fly...
Satisfying a craving always.
Pizza oven baked pizzas from the dorm lobby at college. Baked to perfect toasty, cheesy goodness.
My favorite and probably first pizza memory was when I was about 4 years old. My favorite pizza at the time was mushroom and black olives. I remember going to a pizza place in Cary with my best friend at the time, Ashley Rose, and her mother. Mushroom and black olive pizza is the only pizza I'd ever eat. The pizza place we went to did not offer one of those 2 ingredients & I remember my friend's mom becoming upset and taking us elsewhere to a place that did. All of that to accommodate a 4 year old's pizza topping preference. Now, I love mushrooms and sometimes spinach on my pizza witb a side of blue cheese dressing. CPK has the best wild mushroom pizza!
!Pizza from Italian Bread Bakeries in SOuthern Nj where I was raised...amazing memories
When I was 10 years old I watched a friend of mine eat an entire 16" meat lovers pizza to himself. It was a feat I knew I couldn't have achieved.
my birthday dinner where we chose a winner to my raffle was at the california pizza kitchen. I was able to pay for my mission trip when CPK helped me with my fundraiser <3 looove CPK
Pizza has always been our thing! We met abroad and were able to share pizza in almost 8 different countries (almost, because one day I was craving a nice burger instead!). Now we've been in a long distance relationship for over 3 years in college since returning to America, but whenever we do see eachother we make the effort to see a new city. And with each new city is a new slice of pizza, a new little memory. From eating pizza in bed watching gameshows at a casino, to college town popular pizza hotspots, we always try out new pizzas. I must say New York City topped the list-- Besides my favorite CPK pizza back home that I've yet to get to take him to!! Pizza alone? Great. Pizza with my best friend in the whole world? The best.
My grandson falling asleep while eating pizza. It was all over his face and a piece still in his hand!
My best pizza memories are of going out for pizza with my children when they were little. They love pizza so it was so fun watching them pick up the pieces and enjoying every bite. (They still love pizza!)
Eating the shrimp scampi pizza at California Pizza !
Finally enjoying cheeseless pizza because CPK is THAT GOOD
We had a special lunch date with the kids when they were young, meeting me at the local pizza restaurant for lunch with dad during the work week. The kids like it so much, they would always ask when are we going to have pizza with Dad for lunch again!
Every Sunday my family would go to California Pizza Kitchen to celebrate the end of the week
WE have celebrated several family nights, birthdays and vacations with Pizza. Our best memory is when we went to CPK to have pizza on a Friday with our entire extended family in town and my son was so excited that everyone could get their own pizza and he said that we should all guess what each of us would order. It was fun to see how it fit each others personality and mood. We really enjoyed that night! Thanks CPK!
Enjoying gourmet pizza and drinks with family and friends at CPK.
The first time I ever got a CPK BBQ Chicken Pizza was mind blowing! I was young and had never had any pizza other than cheese or pepperoni. I remember the delicious sweetness of the BBQ sauce perfectly complimenting the soft crust and chicken. It was great!
I remember going to California Pizza Kitchen in the Ala Moana Centre for about 4 days straight with my mum when on holidays when I was about 13 years old. Pizza has always been my favourite food and California pizza kitchen was my favourite place to go! One of the workers at the bar section remembered my order because we went so many times!! I could eat ham and cheese pizza every day for the rest of my life
Driving into NYC after midnight to get pizza with my friends and having the best pizza ever.
With my wife and I both having full-time jobs that require regular travel, when I have a dinner alone with my 2-year-old son, we always (or almost always) try to get a pizza. Usually ham and pineapple with his favorite vegetable of the day/week/month -- today's was mushrooms actually. His 1st and 2nd birthday parties were both pizza parties, he has a pizza beach towel and a pizza t-shirt, and whenever we ask him what he'd like for dinner, he always shouts, "Pizza, Daddy!" So not just a single pizza memory, but several past and future memories in the making!
My daughter and I shopped many times in NYC and had lunch at a restaurant close to Bloomingdales. One time we found it closed so kinda fell into CPK across the street. From that day it was our go to whenever we shopped, creating fond memories.
I worked at CPK 20 years ago. I loved eating there with my kids.
My favorite pizza memory is when I first served pizza to my kids. They could not understand how this piece of bread with cheese was so good. It makes me laugh even now when I think about it. Pizza just makes you smile!
Having pizza with my Mom and watching Saturday Night Live!
I used to have sleep overs at our house when I was a kid. Every sleep over would have a different theme for food and fun. My most memorable one was the pizza theme. I remember my mom bought personal size pizza crust for all of us & had a bunch of different toppings set out so we could design our own personal pizzas. We also had cookie pizzas for desert. It was so much fun & everyone had a great time. I'll never forget it.
Birthday pizza dinner at CPK
It happened at the Stanford Shopping Center which is across the street from Stanford neurology and neuromuscular disorder hospital campus. My sister has multiple appointments per week, she is in constant pain and exhaustion and is dependent on me for groceries, prescriptions, driving, etc. One afternoon we saw the drive back to the apt would be almost three hours. She turned to me and asked if she could get a mushroom pizza from California Pizza Kitchen, she hadn't had one in four years, when her esophagus stopped working and she was on a liquid diet for eight moths before she was able to eat soft solids each afternoon. This is a very big deal. So thanks to your location being so close to the hospital, and being outside so she could be dropped off at the patio, we got to have an early supper together over pizza and tea. She loved being outside, and amongst people, and although we stayed too long, she vowed to do it again this year. Winning this would help as her testing, meds, etc have us living on the edge financially. Thank you for the awesome opportunity to be out with my favorite person in the world, my sister.
I remember the first time I tried a topping on a pizza. I always used to order a plain cheese pizza and thought it was delicious that way. One day I decided to experiment and ordered mushroom and eggplant as toppings. Now that is my favorite pizza.
My kids coming to CPK for the first time they loved the pizza
My pizza memory is going to CPK with my family all the time and trying all the different flavors of pizza!
The first time I ate pizza after not having eaten cheese in over 20 years
After Soccer with my daughter Marisa, we'd celebrate her games by going to California Pizza Kitchen and sharing a BBQ Chicken pizza with a Thai Crunch Salad...then talk about the game and her winning goals or great foot skills...as her nickname was "Whoop"!
First CPK pizza I had was in the 1990s in Waikiki Honolulu Hawaii. It was a Thai chicken pizza. Loved it!

My daughter insisting on eating her CPK pizza upside down . We have no idea why. She started it at about a year old and continued it till she was about 5. It just made sense to her!
Growing up in small town SW Kansas in the 50's and 60's, we didn't have frozen pizza or restaurants that served pizza, but pizza must be instinctive to teenagers! I had a pizza party at home when I was 13, inviting friends to join in making pizzas and as they baked we each decorated the over-sized bibs I had made for each of us, and then 'autographed' each others'! Autographs were a big thing at parties in those times, too. The picture I have attached for my favorite pizza-related photo is my 'party bib' and I am still in touch with these friends. This was about 55 years ago, and I still remember this 'pizza party fun' with joy and smiles! Reminiscing about this party with my young children 25-30 years ago was a 'blast from the past,' and new memories made just seeing and hearing their expressions of disbelief in NOT having take-out or frozen PIZZA!! =D Pizza has changed a lot in all these years to an imaginative variety of different, delicious and gourmet toppings and as many different places that serve pizza exclusively or in addition to other menu items, but I still get together with friends and family to enjoy pizza frequently, for a night out, or at home with games or a movie...I don't make my own anymore, but still have much fun together over pizza!!
Growing up in a large catholic Italian family, we didn't go out to eat. My parents probably couldn't afford it. One day my dad told us to guess what we were having for dinner that night. He then spelled A Z Z I P. It took us a while to figure out he had spelled pizza backwards. What a treat!!!! I will never forget it and pizza remains one of my most favorite foods.
My favorite pizza memory is eating an entire pizza by myself, while watching a show. Feeling no guilt, just pure joy for pizza.
So l, here it is! When most expectant mothers are experiencing morning sickness and suddenly turned off by foods they loved; I craved CPK pizza: CPK Black Bean Tostada Pizza My husband would accompany me and marvel at my newfound ability to eat an entire Black Bean Tostada Pizza by myself! It's no wonder my oldest daughter likes all things spicy!
Having pizza after a day at Hershey Park. Nothing could have tasted better!
Thai chicken pizza
The very best
While working with my grandma at a small, local pizza restaurant, I was serving a customer, eating alone. I was very excited because I was a teenager and the management allowed me to help out from time to time. I bring the freshly made pizza to the table and while placing it on the rack, the entire top of pizza (cheese and toppings) slide off ...narrowly missing the customer. Needless to say I was mortified. Although it's been more than 30 year, it is still a very clear memory!!
sharing pepperoni pizza with my brother and listening to songs on the jukebox at the pizza parlor
Good times with my family
My favorite pizza memory is when I get to grab a slice with my Co-worker some days after work. We have a favorite pizza place that has the best white pizza. We work in different locations so being able to come together and catch up makes a lonely job much better. It's not about the pizza but good company and an inviting place.
Shared two California pizzas and drinks with my two grandsons who were spending the day with me. We had a really enjoyable time. No cell phones, no little electronic devices that at time I think are glued to their fingers. I also had my favorite -- bar-b-que chicken salad. Couldn't get them to sample my salad. Thank you for a wonderful day.
I remember the first time I heard the song 'beast of burden' by The Rolling Stones except....I thought the song was 'my pizza's burning'. I used to eat frozen pizza and put this song on as a kid and sing along until..... at a party, I started singing it and then.... everyone laughed at me.
making pizza every friday night and playing bingo for slices!
Have so many memories for Thursday night pizza with my first girlfriend and her family
Best pizza memory was making a pear pizza with my wife in our first apartment we had. We both made the dough from Scratch and added all the toppings on and just enjoyed some solid tasting ZA, beer and hung out. There was nothing special about the night, but making the pizza together, made for a genuine night of being together.
Last year, I was informed that I couldn't eat food with cheese. This was a disappointment to me because one of my favorite foods is pizza. But, my disappointment was short lived when I remembered that I could still eat one of my favorite pizzas--Thai Chicken. I am thrilled that I can still enjoy pizza with family and friends.
First time our son (age 5 at the time) tried to serve himself a slice of pizza in a restaurant. He used the spatula provided correctly and the pizza slice almost made it to his plate. However, when he tried to put the slice on his plate, he flipped his wrist and, Yep, the pizza wound up side down on the floor! I helped him with the next slice! Below is our son all grown up and his favorite food? PIZZA!!!
We just celebrated my daughter's birthday at cpk. She turned 2 and she loves it there. We celebrated her 1st birthday there too. We will continue to make it her bday tradition.
I enjoyed making homemade pizza with my father when we were growing up.
Delicious mouthwatering pizza:)
When I was 8 or 9, I had saved $20 from my allowance and doing little chores/tasks. I took my whole family out to dinner at a local pizza place for a deep dish pizza dinner. I was so proud to be doing this (and that place and their deep dish was one of my favorite meals). I don't have a lot of memories of eating out from that age (another memory of getting a hockey stick every time we went to a specific restaurant as part of a promotion), but that dinner that I bought stands out strongly. I do think my Mom and Dad had to add a little money since I didn't quite have enough for the pizza, salad, drinks, and tip....but it was close.
shrimp scampi pizza
Surprise 18th birthday celebration at CPK
When I was a kid, my folks didn't have much money but did the best they could to make it feel like we didn't. A few times a month, they'd get a pizza and take us to the park to play and enjoy dinner there. Those were some of the best days of my life.
My mom wanted to have professional pictures taken of me when I was young. I refused time and time again but she bribed me with pizza and I couldn't resist!! The result was this treasured keepsake I will have for all time! I mean who dresses that well at 4 years old? Answer: no one!
Has to be grilling a pizza over a fire while camping on the river.
I was in the 8th grade when a pizza restaurant finally opened in my small town. My cousin & I went-by ourselves!- and savored the 1st of many pepperoni pizzas. Kids finally had a restaurant their parents would let them go and hang out w their friends.
I love the crust of your pizza's.
The first time I ever had your BLT pizza...I thought I had died and gone to heaven! It was the most delicious and refreshing pizza I had ever eaten! I can still remember that it was at your restaurant in Brentwood, CA where I had it. Some things are just too important to forget and this is one of them!!
When I think of Pizza, I think of Sports and my kids! After every sporting event, we always tend to go to the nearest Pizza Shop. Pizza is always a crowd pleaser, whether you are a vegetarian or meat lover. We are able to satisfy everyone's food craving. I love that Pizza always brings people together. My favorite pizza memory are all the days the kids eat pizza with their teammates having a Good Time and seeing whose cheese is the most stringiest.
I loved having pizza and beer every Friday night while growing up (of course, I didn't partake in beer until my 20's+)! I carry on that tradition with my family.
I grow up in a small farming town in the Midwest; I had my first pizza when I was around 14 years old. A family moved into town and they started a small pizza and sandwich restaurant. It was kind of a new experience; because our meals at home were generally meat and potatoes, sausage cold cuts and cheese on to make a sandwich homemade bread, or soup and crackers. The restaurant quickly become a high school go to hangout and did very well. Within two years the family opened another restaurant and bar which served an upscale menu which please everyone young and old.
Our family was on vacation in Southern Cal. We had just left Universal Studios late on News Years Eve 2009. We were exhausted and hungry but wanted to find a sit-down restaurant that would accommodate our large family of 9. Luckily we found a CPK on the way back to our hotel. I can still visualize us sitting down together after a fun day of adventure. I don't remember which pizzas we ordered but the memory of us eating and laughing together is a memory I won't soon forget.
I have been to Lannion, a small city in France and was new to that place and food. I was lost on what to eat and then I found a small pizza store where they were baking it fresh and it was awesome. Could not really get that taste anywhere else
Pizza night at Mama and Papa's house with the family!
I am originally from NY and was working a temp job, he was in town from MN for training with the same company. He asked what people were doing for fun over the weekend, I had plans to go out with my 2 male cousins and uncle, all of whom love having a good time. I told him where we'd be and he showed up. He and I spent the evening talking and dancing and the next day we saw each other again and grabbed pizza for lunch. It was over pizza, that the thought occurred to me that he was a really special guy.and as we shared pizza and great conversation, I felt as though this could be the beginning of something wonderful. He asked me to marry him a few days later and I said yes. It was during that pizza lunch that we both just knew and we have been happily married for 27 years. I guess you could say he'll always have a Pizza my heart!!
Getting out of the hospital and heading straight for pizza! Ate it with my family! Life is so good!
Teaching my daughter how to eat pizza for the first time
When I was a little girl at around 3-4 years old, I was living in Chicago and my dad who had no idea how to cook, would order pizza for me and my 2 sisters on the nights my mother had to work. I remember sitting around the box as my dad gave a slice to each of us giggling girls. He would turn the box around with the lid facing me and I would eat my pizza under my "tent" lid. Ahh the memories!!!
Goat Cheese Pizza
My 5 year old grandson loves cheese pizza, just like his grandma, at his house they take off the pepperoni. He loves coming to grandmas as he gets his own cheese Pizza.
Taking a bite of some bbq chicken pizza after a stressful day
When I was 10, my best friend and I ate a whole pizza as a snack and hid the evidence. It's been 26 years and no one has known our secret...until now!
Movie night with the family
Drawing funny pizza people with my son on the child’s meal placemat we took historical characters and made them into pizza versions.
From the first time I tried CPK’s pizza about 3-4 years ago, I fell in love with it.
Sharing Pizza with my mom after I was released from the hospital after undergoing surgery.
One of my favorite pizza memory is when I had family in town for my brother's wedding and they never had deep dish pizza before so of course we had to order some. Boy did I not order enough! That's right the 4 large deep dish was devoured before I could even think of going for seconds. Our out of towners love the cheesiest and flavorful sauce. (I personally think it was a good idea not to order more because we would of all been overstuffed and probably laying on the floor unable to move, haha.) I love that pizza brings the family together and we can share our enjoyment.
Went through Hurricaine Agnes. House flooded. No food. No way out. Someone brought us Pizza's by canoe. We stood on front porch, when water receded some, and enjoyed the best Pizza ever.. a very memorable time.
BBQ chicken sandwich pizza
Dropped it on my lap
Sharing a pizza with my bestie before she moved away.
When I was 10 years old, my parents divorced and I moved from Los Angeles to Seattle. Every time I would fly back to LA to visit, my dad would pick me up from the airport and take me to the Marina Del Rey CPK. It was our ritual and that was almost 18 years ago!
Setting a date with my adult children and enjoying a great meal!
As a kid, for some unknown reason, I didn't eat pizza when everyone else was...I would wait for them to leave the crust and that's what I would eat...the more crust the better!...loved it!...eventually I came over to the "whole slice" side and have never stopped eating pizza since!
Traveled to Hawaii and went to the opening of the CPK there. balloons and fun
I did not know what pizza was till I was 13 years old.
CPK has spoiled me. I can't eat pizza anywhere else.
Every bite of Pizza makes a memory. It is one of my favorite foods.
Mi grew up in Central New Jersey and I have 4 brothers and sisters. We didn't have a pizzeria in our town so we would have ro drive 20 minutes away to get a few pies to bring home. We would fight over who would get a chance to drive with my dad. The place was in Plainfield, NJ and was named Natales. It was the only time my mom and dad would by soda for us and I remember it came in glass bottles that we had to return for a deposit. Driving home was always a challenge because the pizza smelled so delicious but the boxes were so hot I had to hold them above my lap so I wouldn't get scorched (at least that what I remember). Our reward was some of the best pizza of my life - just cheese nothing too fancy. But it opened the door to a life long obsession for this Jersey girl.
I love pizza!!! I love California Pizza! My top pizza memory....Our first trip to Italy. I had pizza for lunch and dinner every day for 12 days and loved every pizza!
With my son I'm in the military and I'm not home with my son often and he loves pizza so we eat pizza when I go home
Eight years ago my son, a person with autism, passed a Kayak safety test ( a required pre-requisite for Kayak trips he desperately wanted to go on) . If was a very challenging test which included rolling upside down in a practice pool, entering and exiting the Kayak independently. He passed the test on the first try !( much to my surprise ) Afterwards, I took him to our local CPk to celebrate. The manager asked us why our hair was wet in a friendly manner and Mark told him he had passed the kayaking test. After our pizza dinner was over dessert was served and it was "on the house" We have been regulars at The Short Hills Mall NJ CPK ever since! We ❤️ CPK THE STAFF ROCKS!
HAVING PIZZA and LARGE MACARONI & CHEESE WITH OUR GRANDSON
sharing pizza with friends for my 30th birthday
That time when I was 14 (I'm 52 now) and saw my bio mother for the first time since I was 9 months old. We went out for pizza. It was also the last time that I saw her (her choice). She passed in the early to mid 2000s. No matter, it was the only time that I saw my mother and I got to sit across from her and see where I came from all while eating a teenagers dream food group, PIZZA! 😉
Our kids playing with pizza dough when they were small. We would go to verticillium brick oven pizza and have a delicious hot brick oven pizza and watch our kids play with the dough. Great idea for them. Now I luv California pizza spinach it is to die for I crave it all the time . Can you please make bigger ones
I remember the first time I had the Sicilian pizza, it was so wonderful with the crispy thin crust and the flavor of the meats and the cheese. It is my favorite go to pizza at CPK!
Eating my first piece of pizza with Granny and Gramps is something. Will always treasure.
Trying to make home made round pizza but my pizzas were shaped like dinosaurs. It was fun making them anyway.
When the whole bunch gathered at CPK ((5 adults; 3 kids) to celebrate out of town guest from the U.K. She really enjoyed the pizza .. and the waiter kindly took pictures of our table! Smiles all around.
Would have to be at CPK in Domain in Austin. It was a long day, had a headache, was exhausted, and the staff here was so nice and accommodating. Got a Thai Pizza and BBQ Chicken, they hit the spot, great place to get away from the shopping, and the staff filled our drinks on the spot and were really attentive, the headache went away and we just had a great time here. We love CPK
Going to a pizza store and being able t make my own pizza because Girl Scout Troop leadrs son was the manager of the store.

Taking my young children who were at the time 6 (Vanessa) and 16 (Hans) to California Pizza Kitchen in Fashion Island, Newport Beach. We lived in Irvine. Vanessa is now 31 and Hans is 41.
Having a pizza party after our baseball team won the championship!
My favorite pizza memory must be when my Mom, Dad, brother and I would go to my brother's favorite pizza place (back in the day) The Pizza Cookery. This was long before CPKs was around. My brother and I were no longer kids, but by the way my brother got excited over the idea of eating pizza there, you'd think he still was. He loved that place and it was a routine for us to go there on Sunday nights. Now that both my brother and father are gone, I cherish those dinners when my family sat around the table, sharing pizza.

My wedding anniversary celebrations with my love and california pizza
The first time my boyfriend took me to Star Tavern in Orange, NJ to have the best thin crust pie ever. I was in heaven!! Have turned a ton of my friends on to this place and they are returning customers as well.
Creating homemade pizzas with my famil, we used to have a tradition of buying all the ingredients for homemade pizza every Friday and enjoying our time together, eating pizza and watching a movie. It was something I looked forward to every week as a child.
The first time I had the Thai chicken pizza at CPK, I couldn't believe the taste. Peanut sauce on a pizza? I get all the time now.
I was really angry at my brother so we went to California Pizza Kitchen and ordered way too many appetizers and pizzas and left feeling so much happier with each other :-)
... about 20 years ago... having an original BBQ pizza with my mother at the Mirage in Las Vegas... my wife was playing blackjack, Dad was upstairs sleeping... it was around 11 pm... we were hungry... and I had a great evening with CPK and Mom. Perfect.
Moving... ugh what a stressful time! Only this wasn't just any move, this was my parents home. The home all three kids grew up in and grandchildren came home to and created many "fun, heart-warming, laughable and all in between" memories. This move was kinda tough on the family but mainly on our mothers heart. So before we walked away we had one last meal together (keep in mind we were hot and exhausted from this big move) so we order everyone's favorite meal...PIZZA. Sharing good ol'memories, laughing and eating this last meal together in a space that means so much to us all is one of the greatest times I will forever treasure in my heart.
California Pizza Kitchen is the spot where me and my best friend go to catch up and have a little "girls night". We usually split a pizza, a pasta, and a bottle of wine. I reserve dates here for our time. She is my longest friend, since we were in the 6th grade. We're 25 now.
I was introduced to CPK thru work colleagues. In fact, on one engagement that I worked on, we always ordered CPK either for lunch or dinner. I will date myself by saying that my first favorite pizza was the Southwestern Pizza - chicken, tomatoes and sour cream, I think??!! Then came my next favorite - Chicken Potato Pizza and now the BBQ Chicken with Bacon pizza. Always on whole wheat dough. You have changed my life forever with your pizzas and other dishes!
I was pregnant with my second child, our son Brandon. I was sick everyday for nine months except for one random Sunday. I had ordered a pizza and felt great for the first time in 9 months. Pizza rules!!!
I belonged to a study group in college and we were facing our final exams. We planned to be holed up in one of our apartments for approixmately 5 days and not do anything but study during this time period. We pooled our money and purchased between 40-50 pizzas at one time and brought them home with us. These pizzas were the only food that the group lived on for the entire duration of the study sessions. Pizza was the first thing we ate upon waking and the last thing we ate before sleeping. And, of course, we ate it for lunch and anytime snacks. Needless to say, we ate every little morsel of the pizzas until the end of our study marathon. After the finals were over and the school year was done, we all got together for...some pizza and beer.
The Tricolore pizza made me feel happy to eat a delicious healthy pizza.
There is no one memory of our times at CPK. Each time we've gone there it had great moments of "fine" dining. The food is great whether you're on a low carb diet like my husband or a son with a great appetite for good tasting pizza. Salads are great and the drinks (sangrias, mojitos, etc.) are wonderful. Most of all, the service is SUPERB hands down. Don't think we would go to CPK as often as we do if they didn't have these qualities.
I remember Birthday dinners with teenage sons and groups of friends at "CPK" because there is always something fantastic on the menu we can all enjoy.
In Astoria, NY visiting for granddaughter's birthday and tasted a artichoke pizza and it was heaven. After shopping all day it was the end to a great day with my granddaughter m.
24 years in Chicago, and the girl uproots her life to move to Europe?! Caroline set off on the adventure of a lifetime - attending culinary school in Cork, and then moving to Dublin to become the editor of Ireland's most popular food magazine. Heck, the girl even has a cooking segment on TV! She knows her food and she knows it well. What does she miss the most, though? You guessed it - PIZZA. More specifically - Chicago pizza. As her best friend, I knew what I had to do. Booked a flight over to celebrate Caroline's 25th birthday, called up my buds at Giordano's to determine the best way to transport frozen deep dish pizzas overseas, and packed the most epic carry-on bag of all time. 3 frozen deep dish pizzas in a large cooler bag that says 'GIORDANO'S' all over it. If that doesn't turn heads, nothing will! Needless to say - I didn't get a wink of sleep as I kept watch over this precious cargo the whole way from Chicago to Dublin. Caroline didn't know I was bringing these glorious pizzas, so when I arrived in town I loaded them up in her freezer and waited for the surprise to unfold when she got home from work. There's of course video footage, chock full of curse words and excitement that only a deep-dish-deprived diva can deliver. The best birthday surprise ever, and well worth the international effort!!!!!
Many happy family memories around a pizza dinner.
Son's 10th birthday with 5 friends at CPK Paramus
When I am with my kids .. I enjoy cpk pizza. We celebrate all our birthdays at cpk.
First going to CPK for the first time about 10 years ago. Ever since, I have bought their pizza from the frozen section. Very convenient for me even now so since I have a picky 5 yr old. She’s excited about pizza night.

Making a homemade loaded pan pizza w/ siblings and mom when dad was away on work travel - mom did things before it was introduced to Hawaii . mom made "our version" of deep pan pizza in the 1960's - mom recently passed, but when I see a pan pizza - I remember her making the pizza together w/ us putting everything on it and the best part was eating it w/ her .
school pizza parties, the little pepperoni curled in a scoop shape filled with oil - we didn't get pizza at home, so it really was a treat
BBQ chicken is my best memory pizza, I always took my granddaughter to get it every week, I love those memories
night at the mall and pizza
I have asked for white pizza once and didn't realize it has no tomato sauce. Either way, I still enjoyed it. There's never any bad pizza, can enjoy it every day.

Growing up in the Philipines - there was a pizza place called 3M Pizza. My classmates celebrated their 18th bday (debut like sweet 16 or quincenera) & spent hundreds of pesos. I didnt have my mom & dad to celebrate with (my dad is in the U.S. & i lost my mom when i was 3yrs.old). So my dad sent me $$ I spent my 18th bday with 10 of my closest bffs @ our favorite 3M pizza worth P10 each with sodas. That was the best bday i ever had. I love pizza & so did my friends. It was super memorable to say the least. ❤❤❤🍕🍕🍕🍕
There are many "Firsts" in life. We all have them and many of us remember them vividly. In my case it was my first bite of pizza at the California Pizza Kitchen. My husband and I lived in Denver at the time and there were no CPK in our area at the time (early 1990). We were in Los Angeles for his work. I ordered pasta (with sun dried tomatoes, broccoli, and feta) and he ordered pizza. Don't get me wrong, I liked my past and still to this day, I recreate it for my family and we enjoy it at least once a month. But.... Once I took a bite of my husband's pizza there was not going back. I was sold. That wood burning oven crust gives its unparalleled taste of something homey but at the same time away from home feel (like a camping fire taste). I learned my lesson right there and then. It is called Cali Pizza Kitchen for a reason. Now very time I visit your restaurant I only order pizza. I might be tempted to try pasta or sandwich, so I convince my friends or family to order it (you can always trade your bite for theirs right?). Thank you for making a great pizza!
I wanted to celebrate my Birthday and I love pizza but wanted to have a fancier dinner so I made reservations at CPK. When all my friends and family were together it was so much fun and I had my taste bud explode when I tried the BLT Pizza! That was 5 years ago and since the CPK is close to my work I go their often for Togo orders of the California egg rolls which are another favorite of mine. When I eat the food at CPK it just reminds me of the good times I have with my love ones
Going for pizza with friends after a movie!
Pizza is best eaten with people you love. 15 years ago I started to going to CPK in Austin, Texas during mall trips with my mom. I'm no longer in high school, but we still keep the tradition alive (and order the same meal). My family has since moved and I live in Charlotte and whenever my makes the 90 minute drive to visit for a lunch date, we always pick CPK. Two weeks ago we made our pizza memory even better... I took my new baby (two months old!) to join in our tradition. I can't wait for him to love Pizza, CPK, and memory building around good food as much as I've enjoyed it!
Discovering CPK in Oahu in 1990 - it was the only place that had 'real' pizza that was wood fired and not thick crust or baked in an oven. I spent a lot of time there getting my pizza fix during my summer vacation!
When I first discovered CPK in Hawai years and years ago.......before all the variety of toppings were all the rage.......I thought I died and gone to Heaven. My hsband and I tried 3 different pizzas in one sitting! Couldn't get enough of the delicious pies!!!
When I was very young, my parents would bring my younger brother and I to a local pizza parlor every Friday eveneing. My earliest memory is walking through the saw dust covered floor, dancing on the stage with the banjo band, then sitting down to a delicious pizza slice covered in black olives, mushrooms and sausage. The salty taste of the olives with the spicy tomato sauce is something that I recall every time I eat pizza with olives on it. It was a wonderful time of family and fun, giving all of us memories that have lasted a lifetime for all of us.
Enjoying my favorite lunch of margarita pizza and Chinese chicken salad with my husband!!
Eating Mushroom Pizza at CPK with grandchildren.
Only something a kid would do....When I was very young I looked forward to Saturday nights because my parents would have friends over for pizza and a game of cards. On Sunday morning I would get up early and look for Pizza Bones (the end crust) that would be left on scattered plates. I was so happy watching cartoons and snacking on Bones!
Serving 102 sixth graders with pizza as graduation party into seventh grade!!
Cheese slice with oregano, crushed red pepper sprinkled
Growing up in rural OH, we did not have access to any pizza parlors. So my mom would let us girls throw a pizza party often. We would make homemade dough, select our own toppings and cook our pizzas with our friends. When they were done cooking we would enjoy them with a root beer float!
My mother would make pizza every Sunday night. She would use refrigerated dough and spread it with ketchup and Grated American cheese. This was in the 1950s and I didn't know what real pizza was until I left home for college.
Daughters first time she said pIzza at 2
The smell of the dough cooking, the chew of the crust, the beauty that you can be as creative as you want. There are no rules when it comes to toppings. My most favorite food ever.

It never felt so good to enjoy freedom and our American Way of life with a CPK Pizza. Just love CPK besides being my favorite franchised pizzia I am honored, proud and blessed to get special offers from CPK during Veteran's Day Holiday. God bless the USA and CPK.....

My pizza memory is talking with the manager at the Northgate restaurant. We go there quite often and we followed her pregnancy, and had fun calling her "Stella" and saw pictures of a lovely baby girl.
My 1st pizza memory was of my mother making pizza back in the 1970s. She had gotten a recipe from an Italian friend and given everything a go from scratch! the magic of the dough rising, the aroma of the baking pizza and my mother's proud smile as it all disappeared in a second are things that I can never forget!

We didn't know what pizza was, but he was excited so we were too. The box contained a can of sauce, some cheese, flour and instructions. It was my first taste of pizza so it was special.

drive in pizza
Grandma always came over on Christmas Eve with pizza and we'd eat it while talking about all kinds of interesting things. Sometimes she'd tell us about her travels and other times it was funny times she and grandpa had. After we were done eating, we'd decorate cookies and then open her gifts. Once she wanted to try a pizza place that she'd heard about in Seattle, WA (a 3 hour drive one way) so we hopped in the car and drove up to Seattle only to find the pizza place closed. We ended up grabbing store bought pizza (nothing wrong with that) in Seattle and then getting lost trying to get back home. We asked for directions for a lady and she said if we bought her 2 cheeseburgers she'd tell us how to get back to the freeway. Well by that time it was 11 pm and grandma wasn't in the mood to buy cheeseburgers. We finally found our way out of the city but then grandma got pulled over for speeding. Officer was nice and let us go with a warning. We continued on our way and about halfway home, her car kept dying. Turns out she was out of gas. We had to wait for AAA to bring gas. That took hours since it was Christmas Eve night/Christmas morning. Finally got the gas and continued back home. By the time we got home it was almost 5 am. The frozen pizzas had thawed and we weren't in the mood to eat anyway. We were just tired. We all went to bed only to get woken up to family knocking on the door at 7 am. Tossed the thawed frozen pizzas in the oven and had pizza for breakfast. It was the most stressful, craziest Christmas Eve but it's something we all look back on and laugh at now. Now when we buy the pizza, we automatically start smiling and laughing, remembering the fun of it. Grandma is gone now so Christmas Eve won't be the same but that doesn't mean she won't be there in spirit. And we'll save her a seat and set a slice of pizza aside for her.
